They closed the schools here...that NEVER happens so I get a snow day as well :yesss

We had 14.7" of the fluffy white stuff fall yesterday and it looks so pretty with the sun shining. We have my car dug out so I am ready for work tomorrow morning.

We have a snow day here too - lower West Michigan area. They called it off last night already, which was kind of nice...no alarm to get up to then! Hope your day is going well!
 
Amanda, I watch the Detroit news and get jealous as they are closing things early. They don't make our announcements until 6 am but this morning it was closer to 5:30 and was very surprised to learn it wasn't just buses running. All will be back to normal tomorrow though :)
 
We got hammered here in Northern Illinois Saturday night and yesterday - most all of the schools around the entire area are closed - but when I came to work today (2PM) roads were wide open.

I shovelled and realized how out of shape I am, lol. Yoga Wednesday night (first timer) should be interesting.
 
We had a rare snow day here in Chicago. We got a little over 19 inches. Both of my kids' schools sent notices at around 7pm Sunday night so we knew to turn the alarms off. Both are back in school tomorrow though.
 
we need a chain driven snowblower, this stuff was not fluffy white
 
Back to normal today. First day of second semester for all the students and I should have a quiet day as none of my students will have decided they hate their class yet, lol.
 
We had a snow day yesterday too. They texted during the Superbowl to let us know so the kids were thrilled to extend their weekend. :) I'm not sure exactly how much we got, but it was probably around 15"? It was the pretty sparkly kind of snow too. Everything is coated in fresh white and I love it! :)
 
Hmm,, one snow day , yes, I would love!!!

Wow! You're right! That never happens! Where do you live in Ontario... we live in the northern part about 4 hours from TO.
 
you should come live here Jaye - tiny bit of snow: school closure- shops closure- trains don't run- no chance of driving without risk...the city stops....
 
Hope you had fun on your snow day!! Even with that much snow, we don't usually get a snow day :) and this year we've had barely any snow.
 
Think the ONLY reason we got the snow day was all 15" fell in less than 24 hours and all on Sunday.
