January 25: Photo I Almost Didn't Use


I realized I could focus the picture on my smile and show the joy of her! These photos and most of the photos from her birth/hospital are either out of focus, poor lighting or I look horrible- puffy, red eyes, bruised throat, super dirty hair, etc... I can't print her first year album because I don't have the first week of her life done. I have so much guilt/anger from that time. I'm so mad I don't have a "picture perfect" picture from her birth. And while I know and am very thankful that I lived and didn't die. The surgery to save me after she was taken by emergency c-section was difficult. It took 4 days for her to recognize my voice- the swelling and bruising from the tube- even worse in photos. oops, sorry for the vent.
