Yesterday, we had cinnamon in the diffuser and I made rolls. The result? My house smelled like cinnamon rolls. It was a lovely smell and made me remember growing up when my aunt would bake rolls every Sunday.
We also had rain, so I got to smell that this weekend! I love the smell of rain.

What's your favorite smell? Does it remind you of anything in particular? Or do you just like it?

Mmmmm...I love when the house smells like cinnamon. Matt will put cinnamon sticks in a tea kettle with water on low heat on the stove. So yummy!

I can do just about any scent but floral. Floral smells give me a headache. I can't do fresh flowers anywhere near me either. A definite migraine trigger.

Lilac bushes take me right back to my granny's house. I used to spend the night with her as often as I could. I'd wake up in the morning and smell the lilac bush that was right outside of her bedroom window. It also reminds me of my dad. He helped me plant a lilac bush in my back yard. When we got transferred out of state, I was so sad because I had to leave my lilac bush. Our house was being built and we had to live in a hotel for 3 months, so there was no way I could have taken it with me, even if I could have moved it. It was pretty good sized by then.

Courtney, my mom used to make cinnamon rolls a lot and she made them every Christmas morning, along with her special hot chocolate, so I love that smell, too. Smells are very powerful, both good and bad.

I'm a huge fan of the spicy fall/christmas smells- cinnamon, even a little of the pine tree smell at christmas! It just puts me in the holiday spirit! ;)

On the flip side- I roasted some cauliflower & broccoli for dinner the other night & when my hubby got home he said is smelled like someone had died inside the house! ha! :giggle Needless to say- I'm the only one who eats those! ;) Yum!

Honeysuckle is by far my most favorite smell, and I know it's because it just signals spring/summer/warm weather to me. We have several honeysuckle bushes in our yard and the road leading to the house is lined with them. I love driving with the windows down and taking it all in! Plus the memories of taking walks when I was little and stopping to pull the flowers off and suck the "honey" off the "string" in the flower.
Bath and Body Works used to make a Honeysuckle lotion/spray/body wash that I adored. Then they discontinued it and changed it up to Wild Honeysuckle and it just wasn't the same. I have found anything that I love as much as that original honeysuckle scent.
Vanilla and cinnamon are close behind. Black raspberry vanilla is my favorite combo.

Even if I don't drink it, I still love the smell of coffee but otherwise fruity scents like lemon & mango are my faves; & I think I can absorb calories just from the heady smell of the bakery!

Coffee brewing, bacon sizzling, apple pie baking... but I do not like scented products as most give me a headache.

I don't mind fresh flowers, but I'm with you overall! Most floral smells are overdone and overpowering!

Mmm...hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls! I may need to start a new tradition around here!

Ew. I absolutely hate when last night's dinner smells gross and hangs on!

I hate when change scents! They used to have an apple one I loved, and the new one is not as good.

My olfactory senses are on overdrive. LOL

I am very picky about what things smell like.

Like my home. It must smell like SOMETHING GOOD. LOL So I always have plugins going and sometimes candles.

I do love the smell of cloves and cinnamon. My mom always made wassail in the winter and that reminds me of happy times.

I love apple and cinnamon as well as clean linen or cotton scents, but those have to be just right for me to go towards those. I also love lemon scent or citrus.

I am the first person to smell smoke or something bad. Believe me when I say that my children have rued the day they burnt popcorn or ramen noodles and made my house smell bad . . . bwahahahaha!

I have some fragrance sensitivity (I hesitate to use the word "allergy," but that's probably what it is.) But that's not exactly what you meant. :) Like @Cherylndesigns I love lilac and it also reminds me of my grandparents' home. They had a HUGE lilac in their backyard. DH hates lilac; otherwise I'd have planted some the moment we moved in. He doesn't have such strong feelings for many things, so I have to respect it.

I also love the smell of apples and cinnamon, or blueberry crisp. Nom nom nom! A nice wood fire smells great too (as long as it's not smoky).

I love the smell of woodsmoke on crisp autumn air....and, even more, I love the smell of peat smoke, although that’s pretty rare where I live now. I also love the smell of the desert after a rain, when all the plants like the sage and the creosote bush are releasing their sharp, pungent scents. That’s the best! Reminds me of when we used to live in Nevada and every bit of rain was precious.

DH is an asthmatic and ever since my Lyme bout, I can't tolerate artificial scents. So no plug-ins, no air freshener, no scented lotions... But I love the smell of cinnamon baking or flowers in the yard. At our old home, we were gifted with a jasmine cutting which ended up turning into a gorgeous shrub. I loved when it was in bloom. You could smell it 10 feet away and it was lovely!

I really like sweet smells, like apple pie or brownies baking in the oven. I also love vanilla smells and like Jan, I love Vanilla and Black raspberry together. It really like I love the smell of grapes ripe on the vine... that takes me to my childhood home. We had them growing on both sides of our house. Yum! AND I love the smell of Autumn Olive bushes in bloom. Just awesome!

I have been burning mulled spice candles the last few weeks.. I love them. I just finished another candle... have to find a different flavor in my stash!

I like all of it - everything you all mentioned, I'll take it! Maybe because I have three dogs and I just want my stinky house to smell like anything other than them?! :giggle

I baked pumpkin spice muffins today and DH said the house smelled wonderful. Of course, he likes the smell of anything homemade baking ... ha ha.

My old scrapping name was Vanilla scraps - love that scent so much. Also freshly cut grass, daphne flowers, rain esp on dusty paddocks, fresh linen, fresh crusty bread - so many yummy smells but nothing artificial. My daughter loves those strongly scented bath bombs and shampoos, they make me a bit nauseous (I think she is growing out of it, seems to be a teen thing...)

And for Australians, a Bunnings BBQ is something I cannot walk past, the smell of sausages and onions is addictive..
