Hello scrappers! I'm heading to the chat room in just a minute for a fun slow scrap. Come on over if you'd like to join us! Also I will be posting the steps here to follow along. You'll have until 10:00pm ET on October 20th to finish your layout and post it here. Everyone who posts their layout here by the deadline will receive a fun prize! :)

STEPS:

1. Create a row of paper pieces/strips across your whole page. I used approximately 10 thin rectangular pieces overlapping each other across the page in three overlapping rows.

2. On top of the paper pieced strip add 2 photos, slightly overlapping each other. If you only have one photo, you may use a journal card in place of one photo.

3. Add a background paper of your choice.

4. Add one strip of paper with some journaling on it. “Hold” the journaling strip in place with at least one element, like a button or staple or bit of stitching.

5. Add at least 5 more elements along the edges of your photos.

6. Add a title anywhere on your layout

7. Add one final small paper strip with a date on it.

-------
Post your layouts in the Speed Scrap Gallery by 10:00 pm ET on October 20, 2021 and then post them here too! And the rules:

Please post your completed layout in The Lilypad gallery. GALLERY RULES: Layouts must contain at least 50% TLP products. (Templates count as 15%.) Uploads must be less than 250k. List all credits; no off-site linking allowed.

ETA: Here's my layout:

Sorry I couldn't make it to the chat. We were having breakfast (it's 9am here). But I plan to scrap a page. Loving the instructions!

Enjoy your breakfast! And have fun scrapping. You have lots of time. :agree We'll catch you at the next chat. :)

@Karen , when you said "a row of paper pieces/strips across your whole page", does it mean the paper strips must cover the whole of the background? I'm confused because the third instruction says to add a background paper. I might have misunderstood something here.

I have an area of about 3 inches tall filled with smaller short strips of paper on my page, but you can do whatever you want with your paper strips. When I said the whole page, I meant from one side to the other. Mine has space above and below where the background is showing. I hope that helps. :)

Thank you so much for hosting dear Karen, I enjoyed so much the chatting and I really loved my layout. Here's my take on the challenge, full credits in gallery. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Hi Karen, So sorry I missed the chat/scrap. DH had just gotten home from visiting with his mother, and we ended up eating a late dinner. Hoping I got the instructions correct. Here's what I came up with.

Got it. Thanks for clarifying!
