Sketch Challenge in MOC 2017

Ok, I know it has been almost a full year ago, but I need to figure this out! There was a challenge to make a photo look like a sketch in the MOC, and I NEED to find the tutorial again. Any ideas?

This technique is really about the contrast in tones. Perhaps you could play around with your Levels after you have desaturated it? Really hope you give it another try sometime and perhaps just try different photos to see what works best.
