but the worst part is this never ending post nasal drip cough. so annoying. cough cough couch.:hissy

we had something run through our house last week and the week before that. sneezy, achey, stuffy, sore throats ... but i agree the drip with the cough was the worst! feel better!

Blah! That is no fun! I hope you can kick those germs out of your system and feel better fast!

Have you ever used a nasal wash or neti pot? They are really kind of gross, but they really work to clear out all that drainage stuff. I'm not a health hippy type, but after my last sinus infection last spring the doctor recommended the nasal wash and I did it for several days and it really helped. I've done it a couple of times since when I've had congestion and I'm pretty sure it's prevented a full blown sinus infection.

We have that neilmed nasal wash thing and while it is not fun, it works amazingly well to clear out the congestion. I don't function very well teaching with cold medicine and that helped me survive.

just make sure not to use too much salt if you make up your own solution (the wash is just saline). i've made my own solution and had it work fine, but the last time I used too much salt and i thought my brain was going to explode! hahaha!!!

i bought a neti pot but was too chicken to use it! molly - your "too much salt/brain exploding" scenario is making more scared of it.

Lol, Jenn. If you use the solution that comes with the bottle you'll be okay. :) it does work.

I always thought that was kinda gimmicky - I get a lot of sinus problems, its good to hear a real review. I might just try it out this winter. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Oh that sucks! I'm just going to throw out another recommendation for a neti pot ( or wash ) , they really do make a huge difference.

What??? I can't hear you because my sinuses are jamming up my ears! This is the worst. I hope you feel better Celeste!!!

Ouch, no not fun at all. I'm sure with all the funny responses here, you had some good laughs. And as they say: laughing is healthy.
So perhaps... TLP helped you get rid of it!

i have used the neti popt, unfortunately my sinus infections occur in the sphenoid sinuses not the maxillary so i don't get a lot of benefit from the neti pot. i wish it worked for me!

the antibiotic isn't working so he's putting me on a different one. bleh!
