I need help! Lol! My son is big into recording stop motion videos and also recording himself playing computer games and then he's uploading to his YouTube channel. After he records the screen of himself playing, he wants to edit the video. He just wants simple things like trimming, cutting, etc. But he also want to add intro animations, music, sounds effects and titles. Stuff like that. He has an app on in iPad called VideoShop that he loves. The problem is, that it's a pain to record on his laptop, then transfer the video files via dropbox to his iPad, edit and then transfer back to his laptop to post to YouTube. He can post to YouTube from his iPad, but that limits other things for him that he likes, like setting the thumbnail image.
So, long story short, he wants a simple video editor for his laptop. Any suggestions? I really need to be able to do a trial download too, so he can try it out and see if he likes it before I spend $50 on it. I downloaded one from CyberLink last night, but it was too complicated. It had too may options for him and then it didn't come with sound effects or any music clips.
Also... my son just turn 12 so all the file management stuff is a little overwhelming for him. He's doing it, but if he could do it all on his laptop, that would be SO much better!
Here's his YouTube channel if you want to take a peek.
