Silhouette??

The card has a registration code on it that you enter into the software. After you enter it, it just sort of unlocks the designer stuff in the software that you can download free off Silhouette's site. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you do that before or after you hook up the Silhouette.
 
Congrats on your new toy. You will love it. I just bought the designer edition on etsy last week and I love that I am able to use my svg files now.

Woohoo! I got one during Black Friday sales so we can be newbies together! I have mine in my office counter, but have not created room or moved stuff around yet. So excited! Congrats!
 
You are going to love it! I have the smaller version (the Portrait) and I love mine and I don't even paper scrap! Lol! :) I don't have the designer software either. I might have to look into that myself! I can't wait to hear how you like your new toy!
 
I'm excited! Of course now that i know I have it coming "Tomorrow" how can I wait until Christmas to use it? Ugghhh. I am picturing cutting out cute tags for Christmas presents and cards and dang I am going to go crazy now waiting. LOL
 
Kellie, I got mine shortly before Christmas one year, too. I did not wait! I made lots of ornaments for the tree. :D Even the tree topper!

You could create a bunch of stuff and cut it all out by hand just so you'll appreciate your Silhouette that much more when you get to unwrap it. :giggle
 
You can download the standard software and have a play for free before your Silhouette arrives. You just need to register with an email address, which you will be doing anyway :)

So if anyone is thinking about getting a Silhouette, it's a good way to see what the software can do!

I just used mine this morning to cut out a template for my baby niece's Xmas stocking. I'm helping my Mum make a quilted one with the baby's name in applique. :) :)
 
LOL :( I bought one for myself a few years ago...and it has never REALLY been used!! I had/have so many plans for it, but it always gets put on the 'back-burner'.

I think I will make it my NY Resolution to USE MY SILHOUETTE!! ♥ You have all inspired me even more!

So Kate I can download the software for the cutter and use it on my computer without registering my product yet? Im going ot have to look into this.
