Shows You Can't Get Over | Pad Patter 5.26.16

I really don't like when they have a cliffhanger then cancel the show.
That is SO annoying! It's like the writers just want to kick us while we're down: "Oh, the show was canceled and you're sad about it? Well too bad cuz we're the writers and we are now unemployed and we're mad about it so here's a crazy plot twist and YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO FIND OUT HOW IT RESOLVES!" :evillaugh

Firefly.

Hello! They should have never canceled that show. I'm still upset and it has been how many years???
Agree! Firefly should never have ended. My husband and I agree had it come out a few years later it would have been better timed with the sci fi time. Might have been before its time

Yes Yes!

My name is Earl kills me with this!

I guess I'm the only Sons of Anarchy fan here, but I was not prepared for it to end :( I will be super sad when Hawaii 5-0 ends too. I am mad CBS cancelled Mike & Molly.

As for cliffhangers, then cancelling....CSI New York and CSI Miami did that and I was SO MAD.

Firefly
My So-Called Life
Freaks and Geeks

I agree about Lost getting silly. I loved it at first and eventually it just felt like "let's see how much confusing stuff we can pack into one episode" and I completely lost interest. I heard about the disappointing finale, but by then I was surprised it had lasted as long as it did.

OH, and "The X-Files". They bring them back for 6 episodes, and leave it as a darned cliff hanger????? Really??????? We didn't need it if you were just going to mess with us and do that again!!!

SO i haven't done the re-watching thing but ITA with Buffy, Angel and House (and Lost was fantastic in it's weirdness) but more recently the Tomorrow People & Star Crossed - yep they were sorta YA sci-fi ish and i think they were both gone after 1 season, was so not happy!

yep it seemed pointless by that last episode and as if they were just trying to kickstart sales of boxed sets of the old series again or something

Yes!!! That is my biggest upset. Although it sounds like they will be doing another season... they just have to get scheduling right.

Firefly.
Pushing Daisies.
Life. Seriously I loved this show and was so disappointed it wasn't renewed.
Tru Calling - I wish it had another season or two.
Dead Like Me.

Apparently, I like dark, underappreciated shows.
I loved Pushing Daisies, Life, and Dead Life Me!

When they announced the 6 mini series season, I know the discussion according to the creator was there would be more, but the debate was whether it would be a full season, or another 6 episodes. I noticed there hasn't been any info about it since.

This was me too, I loved the show for awhile. But it got crazy & silly (a perfect word for the direction that show started to take) and I lost interest and while I saw the finale, I didn't really know what was going on because I skipped so many episodes at the end.

I have Sarita next to me ad she says: Ghost Whisperer- House- Downtown Abbey.

I could add the Drop Dead Diva (I think it didn't finish but we don't have the series that follow in the UK) and Bedlam ( a UK production) I m sure there are more, I haven't read all the posts,
oh yes yes how could I forget!! FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is the one I re watch all over and over again and it makes me laugh all the same again!!!!

My So-Called Life. aaaah yes. Mostly, I get sad that my shows are "over" (like they had a good run but have just ended) like The Tudors (I mean, what are they gonna do after Henry VIII is dead?)

Downton Abbey, oh I love that show. We watched the whole final season in one go, and now we are watching it all over again, LOL!! It finished so well, I was very happy with how it ended.
There are a few that I miss a lot, Aussie show McLeod's Daughters, Alias, Will and Grace, Friends (oh I cried and cried in that last episode), How I Met Your Mother (though I was quite disappointed with the ending, prefer the alternate), oh there are so many!
