sadly, i hadn't picked up my DSLR since Christmas, i realized, when i dug it out for Easter pics. my phone is just too convenient for snapping pics these days! anyone else feel that way?

so, what have you been taking pics of? share your latest favorite! i'll start... here's one i took at the beach over the weekend...

I hear yah... I use my cell camera alot! Although, we just got back from our annual family vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and I faithfully carried my DSLR every wheres with me. Here is one of my favorite pics of my daughter Emma on the beach...

Great photos ladies! I need to get back into some serious photography. It's hard with teenage boys who don't want to be in ANY photos. Blah! I did a scrap page using this one of my mom. It is my FAVE right now. She is having so much fun on the teacups at Disney that I swear I see the little girl in her! SIGH! Such joy!

Here's one of my latest -- if February can be considered latest, that is. It is hard to photograph a black dog against white snow on a bright day -- the contrast is crazy.

What an awesome photo! I felt the same way when I upgraded to a big girl camera, lol.
This is a self portrait, so it's not winning any photography awards, but it does make my heart happy.

It would be so hard for me to pick a favorite. I love every one I take, even the blurry, out of focus ones. Ever since I got my iphone I hardly ever take out my good camera. I was just thinking today that I need to dust it off now that Spring has arrived. Even though the quality can't even come close to my mii, I would be lost without my iphone. I was at a point where I was getting so caught up in the technical aspects of photography that I was loosing sight of why I fell in love with photography in the first place. It has been so freeing to just snap the memory and not worry about getting the "perfect exposure" every time. I also love that I always have my phone with me and there are so many little moments and memories that I would be missing if it weren't for that little gem.

Look at those gorgeous eyes!! I can't believe how big she is getting. There is a birthday coming up soon, right? Can you believe how fast a year has gone by?
