I absolutely adore decorating my Christmas tree every year. I love hitting the stores for new ornaments or decorative picks. I even contemplated having a side-gig of decorating other people's trees. My mom actually hires a gal and she comes and decorates her main tree. I decorated her other tree with her old ornaments and it turned out gorgeous. I even got to go shopping for a new tree for my office since the lights went out on our old one. Needless to say my Christmas tree loving heart is very full.
Show me your tree! Do you do real or artificial? Colored or white lights?

My cute little work tree

My tree is currently in three sections ... two are laying on my dinette table, and one on the living room floor. It's a new pre-lit with clear lights that I bought after Christmas last year. I may put my colored C7 lights on it.

Yeah for prelit trees! I also love the look of the mini lights with the bigger C7 bulbs. My sis in law has a tree like that. It's gorgeous!

My tree is very subtle in tones of gold, copper, white and silver. We've had the angel treetop for about 30 years and some of the Xmas balls are at least 20 years old. I buy a few new things every year and switch things up.

Oh it's gorgeous! I love the angel, 30 years is a long time for those to last. I feel like some of those toppers are so fragile!

Our little angel is no frills. She has no lights, no sparklies, nothing. Just a simple little angel with soft wings. She has definitely held up to the passage of time. Every once in awhile I am tempted to buy something more eye catching, more ornate, but nope, I always decide to keep our little angel to top our tree.

My tree right now is a mess. My cat has decided that it is HIS tree and will not let us touch it. He will come from out of nowhere to attack if we even attempt to straighten a branch. The top is kind of fluffed, but the bottom has all the branches pulled down. I am going to have to lock him in a room to decorate it and then probably watch him tear it down lol. He's kind of a jerk :giggle. It is prelit, so at least it does have lights. I will have to try to get a photo of him guarding it.

We decided to NOT have a tree this year. So, I bought a mini-pine for the table. Our 7month old puppy likes to get into stuff. He ate my Halloween pumpkins. We did not think a tree or our ornaments would survive. Got a few poinsettias too, and yes I know they are mildly poisonous to dogs.

I searched my photos and do not have any of our finished tree. You can see my kids putting it together below. Apparently, I need to take an after pic! It's late, I'm sitting down and I don't want to get up. LOL. I'm sure I'll get one before the season is over.

Our dogs destroy the bottom part of our tree with their tails. They look out the window, wag their tails, and swipe off all the ornaments! LOL Good thing we love our pets!

Last year our pup pulled a few ornaments and picks off and destroyed them! He's been better this year, but his tail packs a powerful punch and swipes ornaments off. I love your mini pine and poinsettias. I need to get some for my house.

View attachment 524417 We just need the star. I am a nostalgia ornaments person. Each ornament has a meaning.
I love this! I'm a fan of those meaningful ornaments. I inherited some of mine from my childhood and I think those are some of my favorite ones to put up. Don't get me wrong, I love all my glitter picks and pretty fluff, but the older, more special ones are very dear to my heart.

Try living with a man who wants a “designerly “ tree without all the kitschy stuff!!!! Same fight every year!

we did it one year for him and he didn’t like it because we couldn’t afford to buy all new glass ornaments. So for now, I still get my tree! LOL

some fabulous trees there. Ours doesn't go up until after the children break from school for the Christmas holidays.

I'm really loving the tree photos. We leave next week and won't be back until Christmas Eve and not all of my kids can come home for Christmas, so I'm struggling with the idea of dragging everything out. Maybe I will after looking at these!

Why don't you just put up a small maybe 2 feet tall tree that can go on a table? That's what we did when my parents went to Florida for the winter leaving the day after Thanksgiving. I was still here but always went down for a week over Christmas. The small tree was nice since it was some decoration but not a whole lot of work. Actually, I still use these trees over 25 years later!
