Pssssst.. don't tell anyone as the news isn't out in the open yet.. except a few special people but my man asked me to marry him! :flirtyIt happened very fast.. and we are taking it very slow, not planning anything for a couple years and just enjoying each moment of eachother. We been friends forever.. and tis is a positive thing in my life right now.

But he wanted me to pick out my own ring. :) I know I want white gold or silver as I am not a huge gold fan.. and something out of the norm.. but other then that..I am unsure.. so spam me with photos of your pretties..
(I know mine is gunna be not too big too.. as my hands are really tiny, and I use them for communication (ASL) and don't want a huge big rock in my way! )

Congratulations! :wine (I wanted champagne but this'll work.)

Mine is a yellow sapphire in white gold. I've never been into diamonds. I need me some color!

I am always showing my boo what i like... that way i've basically already picked it out and he will know i already love it (whenever that happens over the course of the year - we have a date set but thats it, lmbo).

Congrats! Mine is a round solitaire in yellow gold so doesn't meet any of your criteria, LOL, but I love the classics so it was perfect for me. And then, no one had anything but yellow gold. I now wear it with a yellow gold and platinum anniversary band b/c of the "white metal" trend, which I also love. Anyway, 20 years later and it is still perfect.

I have no clue where mine is. (please don't tell my hubby!) Just wanted to chime in and say congrats!

Here is the pic I posted on Instagram...mine is a white gold princess cut solitaire

Congratulations! You must be so excited. :)
Here's mine, along with my wedding band on my baby's fingers. I always thought I wanted a simple solitaire but those side baguettes added just the right amount of sparkle. I designed the wedding ring and a jeweler made it so it would fit tightly with the engagement ring. Have fun picking something out!

Mine is a heart-shaped pink sapphire solitaire in white gold.

At the time, I was pretty anti-diamond, but after all that we've been through, I feel like I might need a tiny diamond on each side a couple anniversaries from now! :giggle

Here's mine. I'm not big on diamonds, never was. DH insisted on the ones that are there. Mines a sapphire. I wanted a pearl (Anne of green gables) but the jeweler recommended against it. It's not big, and I like it small.

Yay, another sapphire! And haha! I have diamonds on my wedding band. It was my grandmother's so I didn't pick it but it's special to me and I love it. I like them as complimentary stones more than as the main stone, for sure. :) I don't even have a pic of it (the one above is so old I didn't have it yet!) but maybe I should work on that for when I scrap our anniversary this month!

we were poor poor poor in 1990! lol, so I had a diamond chip (seriously it was a chip) It was tiny and I broke it moving furniture(a piano), so I have 3 now...due to weight gain and being spoiled. It has to be low profile...cause I catch it on things.
