Should I get an iPhone now or wait for the 5?

DH and I have had the same iPhones for years and I've been in his ear for a while to get an upgrade. Our contract was up a year ago. We have the 3GS and the camera on our phones is not very good. I think I've finally convinced him. Now I'm wondering if we should wait for the iPhone 5 to come out (and I have no idea when that would be) or if we should just get the 4S that came out last Fall. Decisions, decisions!

Anyone with a suggestion?
 
Might as well wait, as soon as you buy it, it will come out! :giggle I'm thinking this September? Anyone know when they usually upgrade the iphones?
 
I'm wondering about this too! I don't currently have an iPhone, I only have an iPod Touch. My timeframe to change phones is this fall. I would love to know if it's worth waiting for iPhone 5 or just get the 4S as well.
 
It's only been out less than 5 months, it's probably safe to buy it.

Buy it! I waited sooooo long for the 4s because of rumors. Apple always takes longer than the press thinks they will. Get a new one and enjoy. :)
 
Not sure if we will see an iPhone 5 this year and if we do I don't think there will be much surprises. As in, more features than the 4s. Maybe a 4G LTE version. But who knows, Apple is full of surprises. :-)

It's a choice you'll have to make, go for the 4s and probably have a contract for 2 years? So you won't be up for renewal in 2 years wthout penalty. Or wait and see if the rumours start rolling in around April/May. In June is the WWDC,(World Wide Developers Conference) so we could see an iPhone 5 by than. All other iPhones have been announced at the WWDC, except the 4S which was announced in Oct.

I would wait 3 months till the WWDC. It's only 3 more months and if there will be a new phone rumours will start coming in pretty soon.
This is my second iPhone, I have the 4, I still have my 3G, it's hard to let go:-) I don't think I will be up for renewal and I holding my original unlimited plan tight in my hands, not ready to let that go either! :-)
