So, I have a lot right now that isn't making me the happiest in the world...Sarita's incision infected yet again, they took a swab yesterday and now are going to see her everyday.
Then she will need an operation for a cyst she has in her foot- nothing malignant but an operation nevertheless...
My right arm is giving me a hard time, and, if that all wasn't enough, a dear dear friend of mine died on Saturday, she was my age (mid 50s)
hence my absence around here too-

I thought of Angie and the post she made...and I was so so grateful that I got to see her in November when we were there....
Anyway, as I started going down into the dark hole.....Sarita put some money in my PayPal so I bought a few things in the store here, I had to buy a new EHDrive, when I was looking for a mouse, I found in the store an offer for a slow cooker/crock pot for £10...twice the size of ours and a lot nicer looking...so I bought it.....
It did make me feel better actually....

Have you bought anything recently that changed your mood big time? show me...

This is what I bought last :

Oh Cynthia, I'm so sorry to hear that Sarita's wound is still infected that poor girl and you too with all your extra worries and having to get her back and forth to the Dr. daily. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I'm happy that you were able to see her recently though. Hugs to you.

I bought myself a new purse and some knitting needles with my Christmas money that made me pretty happy. :)

Oh Cynthia, I'm so sorry. I understand completely. Valentine's is the anniversary of my father's suicide. I always take time off for that. My husband did the sweetest thing this year. He gave me a new pair of sunglasses & told me to go to the great mall while he stayed home with our sick kids. I spent a good 5 hours just exploring every store. I'm on a mint green kick. So, I got a cardigan & cheapy jewelry. It was wonderful. Shopping is my favorite form of therapy & exercise. As for lilypad stuff, I finally reset those orders that died with my hard drive. Lots of stuff to play with. I hope things get better for you soon.

(((( Hugs)))) beautiful xx

I had an injection yesterday which has knocked me for six - in so much pain - but I also got some happy mail - I'd ordered a Yankee Candle burner and a selection of their Wax Tarts to melt in it - It arrived shortly after I came home from the hospital - so that made me very happy, and also helped me to relax, as I set it up straight away and had "Fruit Fusion"'wafting around me while laying on the sofa xx

I'm hoping to do some TLP shopping this weekend!

I'm hoping things get better for each of you: Cynthia, Sarita and Vicky. I feel blessed by you, Cynthia & Vicky, and your beautiful work here at the Pad. I don't spend much time shopping these days except here at TLP. I bought a couple of the SOSN kits which I'm looking forward to using. I did find a fairly inexpensive chair at World Market that my husband hates, but I LOVE. It fill just the right spot in my family room.

Oooo....what good purchases ladies!!! Sometimes a little retail therapy is just the thing to brighten a mood - even in only temporary! So sorry for your struggles lately Cynthia. :(

My most recent purchase for myself is a new FitBit Charge HR. I have worn a FitBit pedometer for about a year and half - loved it, but it went thru the washing machine a few month back and stopped working. I finally took my Christmas money and ordered a new one and I should have it by Friday! Woooohooo!

Hugs Cynthia. Poor Sarita. It never ends, does it?!

I haven't bought anything new, just saving up to book the kids' summer camps, we've got our eye on a Introduction to Paintball Camp for my oldest, and a Soccer Camp for my youngest. Plus the regular camp trips they's been taking since they were young. It's going to be an expensive month... :)

I hear you on that one Heather. This is the first time I'll have both boys in Summer camp. Fortunately, we've qualified for partial scholarship. Then the cub scout camps are a whole other thing to deal with.

aww Cynthia ... so sorry to read all of this. :( bigs hugs your way and hoping the days get a little easier for you. how's sarita doing? hoping they can figure out how to keep her wound healthy and heal properly! that is very sweet of her to drop some $ into your paypal. what a sweet girl you have!

love your choices ... love seeing you do pocket pages!

i haven't bought too much of anything lately, but retail therapy is deftly something that does cheer me up as well. hope it helped you!!!

one thing i am considering buying is a steam mop for my floors. we have all wood floors on the first floor and with 3 dogs and snowy. messy winters ... i can't keep up. my back is killing me using the "woman" powered, manual ones. why are these handles not made ergonomically minded? the handles are too short and there is too much bending over needed! i am thinking a power steam mop will make things easier and not hurt my back so much. i'm just not sure which to go with ... big range of prices. not sure if the cheaper ones $100 or under do a good job or not?

that is one of the things i really miss about not living on the west coast anymore. here in the NE area there is no World Market near me! that was a fave store to walk through, browse, and shop! very inexpensive and FUN! love the chair! :)

Poor Sarita! I hope all the mess ends for her soon!

That slow cooker looks huge! Can you get a turkey in there? :giggle Y'all make me want to go shopping.
