How many pairs of shoes do you own?

I'm noticing in my house, it's about time to replace everyone's shoes. The munchkin has 3 pair - 2 are too small, and 1 is worn out! Me - I have 4 that I typically use. 1 pair of tennis shoes that is wearing out, 1 pair of running shoes that is water proof or something, and a little weird, 1 pair of flip flops that are dead. I really need to toss them. And a pair of sneakers with no back, or winter flip flops as I call them. :giggle
I don't know how many pairs DH has! I just know he needs new work ones.

What's in your closet? (Or shoe holder, or drawer, wherever you store them!)

I love shoes. With my RH, sadly can"t wear high heels anymore. I just gave about 20 pairs to my daughter-in-law.
I have an entire shelf in the closet for my shoes. Im quite sure over 100 pairs. Lots of flip flops and sneakers too.

DH is a shoe hog too, but he seems to gather his all over the entries to the house, garage, back and front.

Now i mostly wear sketchers because they are soft low heeled and comfortable. And of course flip flops.

Hmm, let me count . . . :think

1. cheap foam flip flops with a tropical flower print

2. old but durable leather sandals I've been wearing many summers (that work well for wading in rivers even!)

3. old slip on sneakers that I've been thinking about replacing for a couple of years now but keep on wearing for moderate spring and fall outings

4. walking shoes I bought last spring (black with hot pink shoe laces :) to replace a 5 year old pair

5. old slouchy brown "fur" lace/zipper-up boots that I love so much I found a shoe repair shop to fix a torn seam

6. black leather boots I bought before I found that shoe repair shop that are nice & fashionable but less comfy, so less worn

7. men's hiking boots I bought last fall because a lot of my weekly walks with my friend are in the woods

I think that's all of them. Hey, I see a potential scrapbook page here! Maybe today I'll have a shoe photoshoot. I actually have already photographed most of these, and I'm sure they all happen to be in many photos, with the exception of the black boots since I've barely worn them yet.

about maybe 6 pairs that I wear regularly for each season (warm or cold season). i just cleaned out our hall closet and put away all the sandals and flip-flops since we've already had snow here & the boots are now needed.

I probably have 30 pair or so - depends on the season. I have several types of sandals and quite a few flip flops. I have 3 or 4 pair of tennis shoes and 3 different low heel shoes I wear at work when I know I'll be on my feet a lot. I have several pair of boots too ... one knee high, a couple of pair of them are just above the ankle and a few 'bootie' type that are just at my ankle.
Hubs has maybe 4 pair .... lol ... he says he's much more "practical" than I am!

i have foot problems. so shoes are really hard to find for me - need a wide toe box. i own a pair of sneakers, a pair of winter boots, and a pair of shoes for work. i need new work shoes but will wait until after xxmas as it takes me a long time to find a pair that fits!

I have so many shoes, but always want more haha. I have 2 pairs of tall boots, 2 pairs of short boots, 2 pairs of birkenstock clogs, 3 pairs of tennis shoes, 1 pair of Vans, 1 pair of Converse, about 8 pairs of flip flops/sandals, a pair of Toms wedges, and several pairs of heels/dressier shoes that I don't wear as often.

My 11 year old loves shoes and usually asks for a pair of expensive ones every year for Christmas. I think there is a pair of Kyrie Irving's on his list this year.

I have oodles... and it depends on the season what I'm wearing. No matter, I probably wear the same 10 pair or so for that time of year. Right now, I need new black flats. :)

I can't count that high! lol, but seriously, I have 2 pairs of hiking shoes, a pair of custom made for my weird feet walking shoes, and 2 pairs of fur lined Crocks that I wear as slippers. In the summer, I have 2 pairs of comfy sandals. Those are the only ones that I wear regularly. When it snows, I have a pair of Crock boots.

I have really bad feet, so I don't wear heels at all. I even wore flats to both daughters' weddings.

I love flip flops in the summer, so I have maybe 5 or 6 pairs that I rotate, plus 2 pairs of Puma yoga shoes I wear outside the house and a pair of Crocs for gardening purposes. Then I have 5 pairs of Bear Paw boots (they're like Uggs but fit my feet better) for the winter. And then I have lots of pretty shoes for different seasons. :) I used to have over 70 pairs of shoes. Literally, more than 6 dozen pairs! Then I weeded out a bunch, and then I moved, and then I got pregnant and my feet grew... so now I'm down to maybe 30. I actually just went through my closet and got rid of 2 pairs of heels that I've had for 10 years but never worn. I mean, c'mon: if I have't worn them by now, will I ever? I do need another pair of sneakers, though. I am a picky, so it's taking me time to find ones I like that are also in my imposed price range lol.

@djp332 good for you for wearing flats to your daughters' weddings. I wore flats to my own wedding! I wore Nine West white leather sandals with white faux gems on the straps--and I'd owned them for a year before my wedding lol so I didn't even buy them especially for the day. (They sound cheesy now that I type it out, but they were actually really cute. Plus, I took them off halfway through the reception. It was in my parents' backyard so it's not a big deal!) Maybe I'm practical, despite my former shoe obsession would make it seem? Anyway, I bet your daughters weren't mad that you made sure to be comfy on their big days. :)

Ah the days of heels! When I was between husbands (lol) I bought a pair of gorgeous red heels that were on sale at the PA outlets just for dates! In the end I married a man who was tall enough for me to wear those shoes but by then I wanted comfort. I have always had weak ankles from too early ice skating and ballet on my toes at age 3, so it was never the best idea to go round in high heels. Fortunately high wasn't as high 20+ years ago.

Now I have 3 pair of walking shoes incl one black pair of Clarkes that look good enough for city use. 2 pair of slip on backless mules/clogs...not sure what these are called these days. 1 pair of sturdy black flats with rubber soles and a very slight wedge heel. And finally 2 pair of fleece lined sturdy pull on shoes for the cold cold days. I also have 2 pair of snow type boots and 1 pair of brown high boots that I've yet to wear. I'll have to see how they feel with leggings as I know there's no room for much else in them. So a total of 11 pair. Dick thinks I have a HUGE number of shoes!! Boy is he clueless on women and shoes. :giggle Summer I have 4 pair of sandals, two black, one tan and one orange. 2 of those walking shoes above and 2 pair of Croc sandals, brown and black. So 8 in all for summer.

I also have about 4 pair of really strappy sandals for any serious dress up occasion but they haven't been used much over the years. It's all about comfort for me these days.

I have around 50 or 60 pairs, but say 10 that I use most often, sneakers and flats. I have very small feet so finding good leather shoes is difficult and that's why I keep them all and in mint condition, although DH says they are almost as new as I have so many to change daily LOL I keep them in boxes with a photo so I can find them easily.

Hmmm. I have 3 pairs of running shoes. I like to rotate. I have 2 pairs of boots that I wear. I have about 3 pairs of flat, slip on shoes. I have about 3 pairs of sandals. I have flip flops. I have tevas. I have a couple of high heels that haven't been worn in ages. That's about it!

I don't buy as many as I used to but I still have a pretty good selection. I wear mostly sandals, runners, flip-flops in the summer and have about 15 pairs and then for winter I wear flats, boots and seldom heels and have about 10 pairs.

I wore white satin ballet slippers when I got married. Even back then, I hated heels.

I have about 20 pairs of shoes. I wear 3 often, black Converse, navy Converse, & white Nursemates (which have seen way better days). I have a lot of cheap shoes that I don't really wear, but find it impossible to throw them out. I did wear heels at my wedding. Shorter heels for the vows & giant acrylic platforms for the reception. Ahh, youth.

i think i have less than most women but definitely more than DH can stand - i admit to loving shoes & do have a few pairs i've onyl worn once or twice but mostly collect thongs/flipflops as they're called over there and joggers (i bought 2 pairs the other week but 1 pair is indoor tread and the other outdoor grip so totally different) and it was a 40-50% off sale...

I have quite a lot of shoes, but there there's a small handful I wear regularly. I have several pairs of dressy shoes that rarely get worn, but I have to keep them for when I need them. Then tall boots, short boots, hiking boots, snowmobiling boots and the boots i wear most of the time in the winter. Two pairs of walking shoes, LOTS of flip flops and some flats. I have two pairs of shoes I wear for work most days.... one brown pair and one black pair.

I wish there was a better way to store them all without taking up SO much closet space! I wish I had Redbox for my shoes. A places to flip through pictures of my shoes and then a robot arm that would go retrieve the right pair!

I have *maybe* a dozen pairs of shoes. Maybe...let's see:
  1. Vibram Five Fingers Bikila
  2. Vibram Five Fingers Komodo Sport
  3. Some other type of Vibram that looks like a ballet flat
  4. Yet another Vibram with tougher soles (for light hiking...can you tell I like Vibrams?)
  5. Columbia hiking shoes
  6. Mizuno running shoes
  7. Teva Hurricane sandals
  8. Vasque hiking boots
  9. Clarks dress shoes x2
  10. Toms x2 (plain black and silver glitter)
And not a high-heel in sight!

I wore flat sandals (white with cute straps) to my wedding- no heels then, either. :)

More than I wear, but I can't part with any in case I need them for a special occasion! I also have hard feet to fit. I have a high arch, narrow heel, wide at the ball, and very short toes. Oh, and fat calves which makes boot fitting difficult. I found that Brighton shoes fit me perfectly, so I have 7 pairs of those, anything from sandals to flats to heels just because they fit! Then I found out how poorly they're made, which isn't good for the price you pay for them, so no more of those for me.

During the winter my feet are like blocks of ice (I'm perpetually cold) so I wear nothing but fur-lined boots with wool socks. I have 4 pairs of Uggs (Bailey button triplet, Adirondack, zippered classic and Rianne) and another more dressy all-weather boot I got at Overland that I live in from December through March. I have a few pairs of dressier boots that I wear to church on Sunday, but they don't keep my feet warm at all.

I do have two pairs of cowboy boots (my pride and joy!) and I'd love to get a purple pair sometime. Why not?

Other than that, I've some Swedish clogs, the requisite pair of running shoes for the gym, crocs, hiking boots and shoes, Native-American made moccasins with hard soles, and some heels for spring and summer dress-up.

But I prefer to be barefoot. I guess that comes from growing up in California!
