I know someone must have a tip for the fastest way to get rid of all the existing shadows on templates ... so you can easily add your own style of shadowing when making pages. What do you ladies use to do this quickly? An action, or is there any tip you care to share?
I use PS CC ... thanks!

If they are on separate layers, I use the filters at the top to filter by name, select all the layers with "drop" (or if they aren't called "…drop shadow" then some word that is in the names…) and then delete them that way.

If they are styles, just select all the layers, right click, "clear style". Or select all the layers, and apply some other style. I often go ahead and throw on a paper style. I can always change it later, and if it's a layer that I'm not replacing at some point, it's probably going to end up with a paper shadow.

The "Select" menu has an "All Layers" option. Mine has a keyboard shortcut of alt+ctrl+A, but I can't remember if that's something I set or not, so double check it. I customized a lot of shortcuts!

CMD + Alt + A worked on the Mac to select all the layers at once! Love it! That's what I was looking for! Sometimes these templates have a bazillion layers to scroll through and select ... and I never knew about the filters option ... I tend to ignore buttons that I don't know how to use. That will come in handy for getting rid of flower layers that I don't need!

thanks ladies!

@Lindzee I don't use PSE (in PS you can easily do it by right clicking on the Fx and chose Create layers - I'm guessing this is not an option in PSE?) so I found this on another scrap site posted from Amanda Brown she's using PSE 10

"1. Add your desired drop shadow to your element/shape.
2. Open the fx (Style Settings) window (either double click the little fx icon to the right on the selected layer or go to Layer - Layer Style -Style Settings).
3. With the fx window open, click on the shadow area of your layer and you can drag the shadow wherever you want. Drag it far enough away from your object to give space for cutting. Click ok and exit.
4. Simplify the selected layer. Use the rectangular marquee to select your shadow. Right click and select "Layer via Cut" and voila! Now you have your object on one layer and your shadow on another. "

Thanks. I'll try this.

@gonewiththewind has a video showing how to separate it on her YouTube channel. I had one on Danyale's YouTube channel; Cheryl's might be easier to understand.
