I love the rolled fabric flowers, but never am happy with how my shadow turns out. I've played and played and adjusted it a hundred ways, but I still don't think the shadow looks right! Grrr!

What shadow settings do you use for your fabric flowers??

You know, when Gina came out with her rolled flowers, Rachel and I were wondering the same thing... I saw this gorgeous page by Krista the other day thought... yeah, like that! So, Krista, What'd ya do on that green flower to get your perfect shadow?

oooh! those fabric flowers are sooo pretty! :)

I'm no expert...by try turning out outer glow, which will give it depth all the way around. (It's a check box on the drop shadow box). And the distance has to be pretty big - like 25-30.

Can you post your "favorite"? Maybe another set of eyes will help?

Also, when I'm shadowing and I get stuck and can't make my go-to layer styles work on a "tough" element, I create a duplicate layer copy, multiply, and do gaussian blur at like 15...then play with opacity.

Hope that helps!

I'm not the Krista you asked.... HAHA!! But usually for the rolled type fabric flowers I use a Distance of 56, and a Size of 61. (Angle 45) It can very though with the size of each flower... But it should be a good starting off point!

Also, here is a shadow set that may help you...
There is an option for a larger flower.
