After a great and awesome start to my day, after a great and fun chat...

My van broke down in the Parent Pick Up line to get the boys. Like engine won't even turn over broke down. And the part that makes me angry... John has been putting off and putting off fixing my van, so this could have been avoided.
:furious

At least we live a 5 minute walk from the school and Belly was at my mom's, so it's not like the boys and I were stranded, but still...

UGH! Definitely a good thing you weren't out on the highway or something. How annoying!

That bites!! I feel your pain. Of course it would happen in line too.

My battery died today. The day when my kids have to be places and there's no one around to jump it. DH wants me to roll it down the drive into the street and go knocking on doors WT$!?!

ugh.. that puts such a gray cloud over the whole day. I'm glad you didn't have a long walk at least.

that is so frustrating! especially when it could have been avoided by the lovely hubby... been there before!

Ugh... that's no fun. My old van would do that... randomly while driving it would just die. And then not start again. We fixed it once or twice and couldn't get it to quit, so off to auction it went! I hope your fix isn't too costly!

That is so frustrating! I had lots of traffic problems this week so I hope to stay out of my car all weekend!

Oh and I kissed another frog! :)

Well my car didn't break down, (this week) but my front load washer did...and a burner went out in my stove...the same week! Both of them are just over a year old and guess when the warranty expired...yep. October. How's that for bad luck! lol. So far it's cost us over $500 for parts and labor, and we may have to spend another $115 if the element is out on the stove. Yay! And just in time for Christmas! Because I have nothing else to blow that kinda cash on right now! Oh, and last month, we had to replace the fuel pump in the Yukon and put 4 new tires on it, for a grand total of just under $1100!! I need to work a second job just to pay for repairs! lol.

BOO for car troubles! We've got our volvo in the shop again...gonna cost roughly 400$. You don't even want to get me started on the amount of money we've paid out in repairs (house, cars, appliances...) in the last 6 months. Except the flood a couple weeks ago. The insurance handled that and we have new carpet (that is no longer pink) so I'm happy. I just would really rather spend 5500$ on something other than plumbing repairs. :dizzy The DH agrees so he and a buddy are going to try to do it alone. It'll be interesting to see who gets to operate the backhoe...
