Scrapbooks Etc is done...

That's so sad! :(

I still pick up Canadian Scrapbooker - the magazine is large, well-thought-out and written, and has beautifully printed images. It is a quarterly and pricey ($16?), but everything costs a lot nowadays, right?

The e-zines might be having an impact on the paper magazines, but I agree - there is something different when you can actually flip through a magazine.

Oh no! I also love scrapbooks etc! Very sad they wont be publishing any more :(

I saw this just a bit ago! IT is sad! I think all the print companies stuggle in such a digi world honestly. :(

Saw the posting on FB and it made me sad, too. I still love paper magazines for inspiration.

oh no!!!! I usually pick up Scrapbooks Etc. all the time... this is so sad

Ugh, I have a subscription with them. I love getting it each month. They were my last scrapping magazine that hadn't quit publishing. Guess I'm SOL.

i haven't bought a scrapbook magazine in forever. The online galleries are far more beautiful and constantly changing.

That was always my favorite one. I think they've even published me before.

I saw that too... it's very sad. I love looking through scrap magazines. They just seem to give different inspiration and I love that. Hoping CK doesn't go down 'cause I think it's one of the last ones...

I buy it too Heather! I was even pusblished in it once! :)

I'm a subscriber and I'm so sad by this. This is my favorite scrapbooking magazine, because it showcased many different styles and not just one kind, which is what I think CK keeps doing over and over again. I was not expecting this since they're owned by the giant publisher Meredith. I would have thought they have deeper pockets. And they're launching new quilting magazines. Why? Doesn't make any sense to me.

I never ever buy magazines anymore. I think blogs hurt them as much as online galleries. There's nothing a print magazine can teach me that I can't learn on a blog or in a community forum, and those things are more interactive. But I still feel sad to see it go.
