School's out!

Oh my goodness. I am SO SO SO glad that our summer break has begun! I have been running myself ragged these past few weeks and am SO looking forward to some downtime. Hopefully that translates to more TLP time! I feel like I've hardly had time to pop in here lately!

How much longer do your kids have school or are they already out?
 
Yay for you Karah - it is always good to have them home and have not too much on the agenda!!! Have a great weekend!
 
We school year round but we're going to try interest led learning exclusively this summer to see if we can make it work (I have all the confidence in the world in DD..it's me I'm worried about).

Hope you get some TLP time Karah. It does make for a happier mom!
 
My senior's last day was yesterday. Graduation isn't until the 1st though. He is my last kid in "school".
 
We quit last week, though I'm a slave driver and make my kids do reading every day no matter what and also some computer math practice, lol. I'm so thrilled to be done with the daily grind for the summer though!
 
We have one week left! Kaylee (4th grade) will be mostly just be having lots of fun activities, while Matthew (7th grade) will be having final exams. Hardly seems fair. LOL I'm so ready to not have to set my alarm clock, but I have no idea how I'm going to keep the kids from driving each other (and me) nuts all summer! :crazy
 
We have one more week and I am praying I get through it. I have been at school almost everyday the last two weeks for field trips, performances, and lots of volunteer stuff. I have two class picnics/field days left and I'm done.
 
LAUSD just shortened our school year by three days. So my kid in 5th grade's last day is on June 19th and my 10th grader gets out on June 21rst. They also start school in the middle of August (14th, 16th)! Up until this year, they've always started a couple days after Labor Day.
 
Ours go to the end of June (29th). And school starts the last week of August (or the first week of September, it varies year to year).
 
No beast children in school. But I just finished my term. I have almost a *whole* week off. LOL.
 
My stepson's last day was today. He was thrilled... although he will be wishing for school in a month or so. :)
 
Wow! That's early! Hurray for you! :) We go until June 6th and I can't wait to be done with homework and forums and field trips, etc.
 
I actually wish we could go back to the mid-June to early September schedule. But oh well - it is what it is. I feel so refreshed after just two days off! lol
 
i hear ya karah!! friday was the last day for my kiddos too, and i am SO ready to live life at a more relaxed pace.
 
We got out last Wednesday! The traffic is wonderful now in the mornings! Love it!
 
We are finally done as of Friday here. yay!! We have dance recital next weekend and that will wrap up the school year's activities for this round.
DH didn't let the weary kids have a break though, he's already got the summer math lessons started (he's been doing this for a couple of years with the 3 oldest now to give them a head start on the next year's classes) and DS is studying the driver's manual so that we can get him his driver's permit and start driving lessons. Not quite sure I'm ready for the driving lessons stuff since I'm sure I will be the one doing most of the riding with him.:imok
