:hairpol My 8yo DD has to do a model of a park for a school project. I told her if she comes up with a theme and a plan, I would help her with the model. She chose to do a basic waterpark and all is good until I get to trying to make a model of a waterslide..I have tried three different ways and there is no way I can think to make this work. I am so frustrated that they give kids assignments like this that they know parents will be doing most of the work.

Seriously. I hate school projects. HATE THEM. I don't have much advice, just much sympathy.

Oh, ugh. I hope you get it figured out! I really try to back off, go simple, and let my kids do as much as they can on these types of projects. It doesn't turn out as fancy as some of the others, but normally the teachers can tell the kid did most of the work and they won't knock down the grade at all.

Hated when the boys had these home projects. We always helped our sons but I always wondered about the kids that didn't have anyone to help them. I just think they should do the projects at school to make it fair for all.
