My Mum passed away this morning aged 87. Mu Dad had already passed away in 2001. She had breast cancer with a mastectomy and radiation treatment back in 2020, however we found out only 3 weeks ago that it had metastasized to her liver and lung. She has been in a palliative care facility for the last 3 weeks where she has been well looked after and passed peacefully this morning. My husband and I live in a different state of Australia, 2000kms away but we had two long visits over the last two years we which were grateful to have done. We are traveling across to the funeral, leaving in the next week, so you probably won't "see" me around here after this week for 6weeks or so.
 
Carmel, my prayers are with you and those close to your mother as you grieve.

@caapmun I am so sorry for your loss.

I have a sense of what you're going through, as my mum died of breast cancer in Dec 2012, after a mastectomy and all sorts of treatments. Please do take care of yourself, this is just a really rough time.
 
I'm so sorry for you and your family. I'm wishing you strength and comfort as you deal with this time of sorrow.
 
I am so, so sorry. I have lost both of my parents as well. My prayers and love are with you.
 
I am so very sorry - I lost my Dad last year and losing your Mom has got to be so incredibly difficult. Please take care of yourself while traveling and dealing with all the arrangements and funeral. Hugs!
