Just came home after seeing Rogue One (Star Wars) and I loved it!!!!
What do you think about it?
 
It's my new favorite Star Wars movie- I think it just edged out The Empire Strikes Back. :)
 
I loved it! It was a great melding of the original trilogy feel and the newer graphics/technology they use in the current ones.
 
I haven't seen it yet, but my son has seen it 3 times already since it came out. He thinks it is the best of any of them.
 
LOVE, LOVE, LOVED IT!! But it made me cry at the end.

Cool bit of trivia- they pulled some unused film from the original Star Wars, mostly pilot scenes from the end battle against the Death Star, and used them in Rogue One! They digitally remastered the original film, then extracted (@AnneofAlamo style) the pilots from the original cockpits and inserted them into Rogue One scenes. As I was watching, I was thinking how cool it was that they got the dogfight scenes and dialog so close to the feel of the original...and then I found out that it actually was!

I really loved the sense of urgency that was created going from the end of this straight into A New Hope. Leia is right there, and so is R2-D2. It makes the ending more hopeful than sad for me.
 
I have no desire to see it. Not really a Star Wars fan. My husband is the ultimate SW geek. He won a ticket to see it Thursday evening before it was officially out. Then he took the kids on Sunday to see it. He wasn't overly thrilled with it.
 
I would like to see it! I'm not a huge fan, but love the old ones, and what you described as a melding sounds wonderful! My boys will love it!
 
Loved it!! It was so fun seeing what led up to the very first Star Wars and piecing the story together knowing what happened in the next part of the story. Loved the blind character - maybe my favorite SW character ever!! Great ending.
