Anyone have a tried and true recipe? I have a huge rack of ribs sitting in my freezer but it's way too cold to BBQ right now... :)

we do it at my moms ALL
the time.
i'm sure she just throws them in
along with a bottle of bbq sauce.
and let's it cook on hi for a few hours.
the meat is usually so tender it just slides
right off the bone.

ooh - i love doing ribs in the slow cooker!!! i usually put the ribs with some rub, let it cook for a couple hours and then add barbeque sauce for the last couple hours. It really does fall right off the bone! Yum!

Actually Renee - I have the BEST and EASIEST rib recipe and we do it right in the oven. I've done them in the slow cooker too but prefer the oven version ... here's the recipe I use! I usually do the baby back ribs but I've done regular back ribs as well... When it is warm enough to grill I'll throw them on and baste them with bbq sauce for about 5 minutes after they're done in the oven, but it's not a necessary step.

I've done the country style (boneless) ribs in my slow-cooker several times. it's one of the few things I use my crock pot for. LOL They turn out great because they cook slowly all day. Nummy.

I'd love to come home to ribs in the slow cooker ... thanks Karah for the recipe .. I'm gonna try this one.

IDK if its too late but here's what I do and they turn out delicious and moist. You cook these in the oven, though.

In a large oven bag (use non-stick spray on pan and outside of bag to keep from sticking), put seasoned ribs and 1 bottle of Italian dressing in bag. Cook on 375 for 2 hours on the lowest rack setting, then flip bag and all over in pan and cook for another 2 hours. Cook another 2 hours and flip. Flip every hour for the next 2 hours. The oven bag will get big so you want to cook on the bottom rack to keep from getting a hole burned in the bag.....all the juice will cook away if there's a hole.

I'm tellin' ya, your family is gonna worship you when you serve them these ribs. :D

LOL! That's how we usually make them! We found that recipe maybe two years ago and have been using it since. I LOVE them! The reason I wanted to do them in the crockpot was for busy weekends when we're running around here and there. :)
