I'm not a tv watcher. I wish I was... and oddly, I read up on shows to learn about them and talk about some of the shows them with friends. I think it's a lot of time to give and I'm always reading.... so I don't watch too much! I think I watched Squid Games last!

I do like movies. I think it's the quick one stop shop, watch and done that really works for me!

Last night I actually watched a movie on Netflix. It was action, scifi themed, and I liked it! It was The Adam Project. Have you seen it? Ryan Reynolds is my favorite and I like looking at him. I enjoyed the quick story, and the -spoiler- young Adam was a great actor. He was a perfect replica of older Adam.

So, what have you watched lately? A new show? A movie? One that I can watch, lol? What do you like to watch?

I watched Newsies (the musical) this week and it was delightful and the dancing was incredible.
We watch too much tv but my husband is currently watching the NCAA basketball tournament, men and women’s. I will watch bits of it but usually find myself scrapping instead.

We watched the Adam Project on Sunday.. I thought it was cute. There were a lot of holes in it, but I didn't care.. I too like looking at Ryan Reynolds :) :giggle

I have the TV on all the time for background noise and I don't have any streaming service, just cable.

Last night I watched Survivor then Temptation Island (a trashy reality show). I'm not into movies unless it comes on TV. I do have a cable station that shows a lot of TV shows from the 60's and 70's and I've been enjoying their Saturday lineup.

Melissa and I are planning on watching "The Adam Project" tonight!

We watch a lot of streaming stuff. Right now we are bingeing "New Girl", NCIS Hawaii and "Leverage Redemption ". It's Formula 1 racing season now, so that will most likely take over the TV.

I added that movie to my ever-growing to watch list. Lol. I think the last thing we watched was also on Netflix called "Pieces of Her" It was was only 6 episode long (maybe 8?) and was based on a book. It was pretty good. Then right before that we watched a movie called Deep Water on Hulu because it had Ben Affleck in it and it was HORRIBLE! I hated that we wasted two hours on it and I can almost always find something good about a movie. So don't waste your time on that one! :giggle

I don't sit down to watch TV or movies much at all. However, I did watch Red Panda on Disney+ this past week. Very good and my daughter has the same name: Mei Lynn.

My husband got me to watch the Manifest series on Netflix. I enjoyed and look forward to Netflix making another season.

We watched Deep Water too, groan! Our draw was Ben Affleck too. My husband said, that’s two hours of our life we will never get back.

We don't watch regular TV unless it's football season. All the commercials drive us crazy.

I'm WAY behind the times, not watching new releases or series until way after the fact. I think you'll be able to tell that with my list below. Maybe you'll see something there that you want to watch or watch again.

Olivia watched Modern Family. I watched quite a few episodes with her. I usually LOL at least once if not multiple times during a 20 minute episode. Jay even ended up watching quite a few.

Right now, Jay and I watch a lot of true crime. I don't know why. They're disturbing yet equally fascinating. Right now, we are watching The Confession Killer about Henry Lee Lucas who confessed to hundreds and hundreds of murders. It's interesting to see how the justice system worked (or didn't successfully).

We've also watched these shows together:

Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer
Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel
The Staircase
Abducted in Plain Sight
American Murder: The Family Next Door
Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes
The Sons of Sam: A Descent into Darkness
Murder Among the Mormons

I've watched The Keepers, Making a Murderer, Amanda Knox, The Pharmacist, How To Fix A Drug Scandal, Tell Me Who I Am, Crack: Cocaine, Corruption & Conspiracy

Jay watched Wild Wild Country and enjoyed it as well.

I **do** watch other movies/series besides true crime.

Movies (mix of emotions on this list):

I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore
Robin Robin (THE cutest animated film)
Yes, God, Yes
I'm Thinking of Ending Things
What Would Sophia Loren Do?
Hillbilly Elegy
The Florida Project

Series:

The Office (US version) - we've watched this series so many times it's ridiculous. It's no longer on Netflix, but if you can find it on one of the other streaming platforms, I highly recommend. Of course, it's quite old and you may have watched it already.
Bridgerton
Bling Empire
Schitt's Creek
Surviving Death
Indian Matchmaking

If you've never watched Michael McIntyre's stand-up, you have to check out Showman.

@gonewiththewind I like true crime programs as well. I could watch a true crime program any time I want since there are 3 to 5 channels that carry that genre 90% of the time on my cable channels.

I really enjoy the Forensic Files series and now they've started filming those again and call it Forensic Files II. These go into a lot of the newer technology used.

I've seen a few of the Forensic Files on YouTube as well, but I'd like to start from the beginning of the series. What channel do you watch the new series on?

I always feel strange watching true crime, like I'm a weirdo or something, but it wouldn't be out there for viewing if it wasn't popular, right? LOL

We've been watching Justified on Hulu and have just a couple of episodes left. It's a long series.

Looks like HLN (Headline News) on my system. I think it might be on another one at times as well. I also like Cold Case Files which runs on A&E quite often. My most watched channels are Discovery ID, OWN, and Oxygen because of the real life crime shows.

Also, I was looking at possibly getting Tubi since it is free. Forensic Files is on there as well.

I have been making my way through the Oscar nominated movies. Not necessarily the best picture ones but ones that were nominated for various categories. There was a Vanity Fare article that listed places you could stream them, and I have been going through that list. Almost all of them can be streamed or rented for the cheap at red box.
I have watched:

West Side Story - Best Picture
Being the Ricardos- best actor/actress
Don’t Look Up - Best Picture
Tick Tick Boom - best actor/song
House of Gucci - makeup
Spencer - Best Actress
Nightmare Alley - Best Picture

I have tried to watch Drive my Car, but for whatever reason it’s not captioned or dubbed and my Japanese is rusty, lol. Hbo is looking into it since it is supposed to be captioned in English.

Belfast is next on my list, as well as Dune and Encanto.

I also watch a ton of true crime shows and it makes my husband absolutely cringe. I finished the documentary Undercurrent on Hbomax and definitely recommend it for all my true crime people out there.
The past few 20/20s have been great. The one about the Heavens Gate Cult and Elizabeth Holmes were very good. They can be streamed on Hulu.

I am still watching BritBox. Death in Paradise and Vera are almost done. Next up is going to be Luther.

I guess that’s all. I usually have all these on in the background while I scrap.

Thank you so much! That helps!

Best series ( only 6 or 8 episodes in season 1 and season 2 is still not complete ) "Traces " a British series .
And if you can watch "The unforgotten " and " The Bay " both British police / detective series then I think you will enjoy them.
The equalizer For some fast action, and Murdoch Mysteries to relax.
Also Killing Eve is having a new season , Looking forward to that.
I do enjoy "the Gilded Age " too.... nice and relaxing.
Reality shows ;
Top Chef and Master chef.
The British sewing bee , and Project Runway ( but it is finished now )
Crime reality not so much, but I like the history shows.

I watch waaaay too much tv, granted most of the time it is on as background noise.
I am currently bingeing on House Hunters International as I dream of moving and living in another country. . . .

I too quite enjoy looking at Ryan Reynolds, lol. The Adam Project is on my to watch list. Baseball season will be starting soon so I will be deeply engrossed watching my beloved Blue Jays.

I love to watch true crime and am also binging on Evil Lives Here right now.

I'm a true crime junkie as well. I am currently watching Killer in Plain Sight on Hulu, but it's mostly just background noise. I love Forensic Files and I've gone through a few episodes of 20/20.
I'm also keeping up with The Walking Dead weekly.
I really enjoyed Pieces of Her, and Taken at Birth was wild!

These are all really good IMHO:
Supernatural
Lucifer
The Office
Parks & Rec
Jane the Virgin
Sweet Magnolias
Ginny & Georgia
Criminal Minds
Schitt's Creek
The Good Place
The Sinner
Maid
Lost in Space
Virgin River

A recent for us is the tv series (on Epix) called From! We didn't get too far into it yet but the first few episodes seem like it's going to be really good!!
