Some people really should consider alternative careers. I was sending lots of equipment to the US for a trade fair, and when the man from the shipping agent arrived, he said he didn't have a trolley to help me bring the stuff downstairs (thanks, that's helpful:groan), so I had to bring everything to the truck myself. Among the things we were sending were two 50" touchscreens, each with a computer and packed in it's own custom made flight case. So I brought down one case, went upstairs to get more stuff, and when I came down the man had opened the flight case and were taking out the computer. I asked what he was doing, and he said he thought the case was just to help me get the stuff downstairs, and that I didn't want to send it.

So this man who worked for a shipping agent
1) Did not know what a flight case was for
2) Thought I had planned to send a computer, speakers and screen unwrapped - not to mention all the cables that go with it
3) Made me carry a bazillion boxes to his car.:rollingpin

Time for a career-change, methinks.

I am so sorry for you! I do know what you felt like, I deal with people like this all the time.

being the biotch that I am.... I'd file a complaint with his company! but that's the way I am.... :)

wow. I would be angry! I too would file a complaint! Sounds like he needs more training!

I didn't put in a formal complaint, but I did tell the (very nice) lady I usually deal with at the shipping agent. She appoligised and was going to speak to the manager of the drivers, so at least that's something:)
