Hi and welcome to the second 'Hear My Voice' themed Mixed Media Challenge.

If you're not familiar with the 'Hear My Voice' Brand it's a monthly collaboration by Rachel Jefferies and Lynn Grieveson Designs.

Each month rich textures and unique digital artistry are created from a mixture of mediums to provide you with the right tools for expressing your thoughts and feelings through art journaling or mixed media scrapbooking.

This is a monthly space for collectors of Hear My Voice Digital Art to scrap their stash and get creative together.
First, the random winner that wins the June HMV collection... @tanteva:cheer, congrats!

In this month’s challenge we will explore the theme of “Healing”.

For me, spending time in the garden, taking care of the plants and watching them grow, brings me peace and healing. It’s very gratifying and it reminds me of my own need to take care of my well-being. I love sitting in the garden, letting my mind wander and just be in the moment.

For this challenge create a mixed media page that represents the theme of “Healing”. It can be a visual page, with journaling if you wish, and with or without a photo.

You can, but you don’t have to explain your “Healing”, you can just make it visual if you prefer not to journal with use of color, such as soft pastel tones, calming shades of blues or warm earthy tones. You could use symbols like organic lines, circles and patterns that symbolise movement and growth or elements like: flowers, trees, clouds...

For my page I mostly used Rachel’s and Lynn’s Hear my voice collection - 17 Sharing, because I was looking for a purple-ish collection.

There’s also a HMV collection with the theme of “Healing” - Hear my voice 3.

This is a product challenge, and Hear My Voice Products need to make up 75% of the products used on your page, but you can use any Hear my voice collection or even a combination of collections that you wish.

See the notes at the end of the challenge for further product clarification.

"Mine is themed around giving time to myself, which allows me to contemplate, reflect, grow and heal. The photo is me sitting in one of my favourite quiet spots in the park when I have time to myself in the mornings whilst the kids are at school."

Congrats @tanteva !!!

Here is my layout with a link to my gallery. For those of you who may not know, my DH passed away in April 2023. My journaling on the layout represents where I am in this unending grieving process:

As I write this, it has almost been 14 months since you have passed. I talk with you way too often, as you are always in my thoughts. It is now my sole responsibility to take care of the property. And the spring has not been fun. Fallen trees, dead tree removal, an invasion of hay straw and garlic mustard in our naturalized areas. Now I’m dealing with the crunch and noise of the cicadas. You would have loved it, not. I have taken to wearing your t-shirts. You know I’ve never been a fan of them, but they somehow make me feel closer to you. And that is what matters.

There is just a little time left to participate in this challenge...

The page I will print includes a bit of journaling (blank blue section on the right) but I chose to post the layout without it for privacy purposes.

This challenge is now closed, thank you so much for all your beautiful layouts. I will come back at Friday with a new challenge and a winner!

Sorry to have been so slow in getting this posted. I used pieces from HMV2, 3, 15 and 16.
