So Im wanting to pick up Lili's Journaling cards

lili_customizablejournalingcards2_preview-01.jpg

I'm wondering what you guys do to cut them out. I was wondering if its easiest with an exacto or a good pair of scissors, or anything else I'm not thinking of let me know. I'll be honest I'm not the best at making a straight line... but I don't have a silhouette. These are some of the reasons why I want one tho.

**edited to specify... I'm wondering mostly about the bits and pieces that are included**

Well you didn't have the picture up there when I answered. LOL

I'd just use scissors for those. The small craft ones.

I have a Silhouette and I do use the Print & Cut function on those. But I also just use scissors. I recommend a pair of sharp, fussy/detail cutting ones, like the Cutter Bee by EK Success. As for the circle pieces, you could use a circle punch or a circle cutter, if you have those available. If not, just carefully cut around it with scissors.

I would love to get a silhouette I just haven't been able to 100 justify the purchase yet.

I use scissors for stuff like that all the time. If you're patient it works well. I save stuff like that for when I'm watching TV.

I'd cut all the straight, long edges with a paper trimmer and then use scissors to cut the shorter edges. An xacto or needle-tip scissors would be best for the triangle cutout for the flags because it won't leave you with a dohickey hanging in the middle.

I agree...the cutter bee scissors by EK Success are awesome for detail like that. I also really like the little craft knife by fiskars that you put on your finger and recommend it if you decide to go the craft knife route. It took a few uses to get used to but I love it now.

I have a Silhouette and I agree that it works great, but since I'm usually short for time I just cut by hand. I use these scissors. But I've used just regular office scissors for ages and I did just fine. :)

Ditto on the scissors. I have a Silhouette, but it's new enough I haven't had a chance to try out the "print and cut." Anything that's straight like the cards themselves, I use my trimmer (and then sometimes punch the corners to make them rounded). For small things, just some trusty scissors. I also like the Fiskars craft knife Sarah mentioned.
