If we do an art journal page that doesn’t have Lilypad products, can they still be posted here? I know in order to post In The gallery that it must be 75% TLP, (correction 50%) but if we make a page that doesn’t have that much, can we post it just in this area to share?

This is a very good question, and one I've been meaning to ask myself, thus tagging @mrs2a50

I am tracking that minimum gallery requirements is 50% TLP product because of the following:

"Gallery Rules

We are enjoying ALL the fabulous work being shared in the gallery.

Please keep in mind that, while we do enjoy seeing products from other designers outside TLP, we attempt to keep the focus on the TLP staff.

That being said, please abide by the following gallery posting rules:
1. Layouts must include at least 50% TLP products
2. No off-site linking
3. List all credits"

I think a residual question remains...how much or what % of TLP product is permissible if bypassing the gallery and uploading directly to a forum (using the upload a file feature)? As hybrid art journaling takes off, people are going to use a lot of paint, gesso, and store-bought paper/ephemera in their layouts. Yes, there will be a sprinkle of TLP ephemera - but what % is permissible in the forums? And, I do realize it is difficult to quantify when using paint/gesso and adding ephemera what any % is!

Oh yeah, oops! I was looking at the AJ Weekly Muse requirements - and those were 75%.

I will use printed digi products from TLP, but not for a while because of my printer issue. I would love us to have a little community here to support and cheer each other on!

@Pachimac
I can’t answer the posting question but I can help with the printing question.

My printer is old and needs replaced (have to clean the heads every time I try to print), so when I need a color printout, I’ve been going to a local copy shop. We have 2 shops near our house and both make 8.5x11 color prints for 39 cents on copy paper. It’s a little more for card stock. I just get my files ready, save as jpg or pdf and put them on a usb drive and they print them in color.

I’ve also heard staples and Office Depot/ office max do the same. Hope that helps until you can get your printer sorted.

Have fun with your hybrid goodies!

I don't know if this still holds true, but we used to be able to do that in the Project Life forum... you couldn't post to the gallery if it was the required amount of TLP products, but you could still post to the monthly thread directly.

Suzy, if your project uses 100% tactile (physical) product (books, paint, gesso, physical ephemera, etc.) you can post your projects here in the hybrid pad. However, if your project has any sort of digital product from another store, then we do want to enforce the "50% TLP product" rule. Does that make sense? Basically, if there is NO digital product, you're fine. If there's digital product, the entire project needs to be at least 50% TLP.

Makes total sense! I think my first one fit that rule, so I’m good!
