I have never been thin, but about 2 years ago I joined weight watchers and changed the way I ate. I cut out a lot of junk food and added in fruits and veggies. I have lost around 20 lbs, but it has been slow. I have been trying to lose the last 10 for about 6 months. I go in spurts, I will lose a bit, then stay stuck there for months. I think I finally got rid of the holiday weight I gained, although my scale isn't agreeing with me. I can feel it in my clothes. I have been doing the 30 day shred, so I am guessing I have gained some muscle along the way. I am back to my pre college weight now, which was 20 years ago. So I am happy, will be even happier once the next 10 is gone. Then I am going to stop worrying about dieting and start living. I need to figure out how to get out of this rut, although since we are getting ready to move, I don't think this is a really good time to do anything drastic. I am hoping once I am moved in and not working I can really step up the workouts and lose the rest of the weight, plus I eat a lot better in the summer months since there is more fresh produce available. Probably need to take another look at my calories too. I am going to check out the sites you girls posted.
My advice is to look at your eating habits, find the bad guys and replace them with good things. Add more fruit and veggies. exercise, and don't be too hard on yourself.
