Thats a good tip, I had already eaten breakfast and lunch and when i logged my lunch in i found out two cups of kraft dinner (mac and cheese) was 834 calories. Had I known that I would have just had something else LOL

or just eaten half. Logging calories is an eye-opener, isn't it?

Have you tried Lose It yet? It syncs to loseit.com, which is kind of cool. Your reports on the website are fun to look at, can see what your fave foods have been and such. I stalk the forum too. There's also a FB page.

The other iPhone app that I use is MyFitnessPal. It also syncs up with the website myfitnesspal.com.

Yeah, logging what you eat is a real eye opener! It certainly makes me think twice about whether I want to put something in my mouth.

Oh girl...I've just recently lost 15lbs and I have a TON to go... 101lbs is my goal. After that, I could lose another 25-30lbs according to the "charts". I'm 5'10" and have always struggled with my weight. But, after having kids, being diagnoised with PCOS, and now I've got Diabetes. This is the first time I've changed my life style (low carb diet) instead of dieting. It's working. :) I just have to keep myself focused and positive about what I'm doing.

I'll always be here, if you need a push. ;)

SparkPeople looks good! I'm going to register now and see how it works. :)
Thanks for the motivation everyone!

This is really good information you guys. I am going to check out these iApps. I haven't stepped on a scale in a couple of months but I think I need to bite the bullet and do that in the morning. I am afraid of what I am going to see. :-/

I have never been thin, but about 2 years ago I joined weight watchers and changed the way I ate. I cut out a lot of junk food and added in fruits and veggies. I have lost around 20 lbs, but it has been slow. I have been trying to lose the last 10 for about 6 months. I go in spurts, I will lose a bit, then stay stuck there for months. I think I finally got rid of the holiday weight I gained, although my scale isn't agreeing with me. I can feel it in my clothes. I have been doing the 30 day shred, so I am guessing I have gained some muscle along the way. I am back to my pre college weight now, which was 20 years ago. So I am happy, will be even happier once the next 10 is gone. Then I am going to stop worrying about dieting and start living. I need to figure out how to get out of this rut, although since we are getting ready to move, I don't think this is a really good time to do anything drastic. I am hoping once I am moved in and not working I can really step up the workouts and lose the rest of the weight, plus I eat a lot better in the summer months since there is more fresh produce available. Probably need to take another look at my calories too. I am going to check out the sites you girls posted.

My advice is to look at your eating habits, find the bad guys and replace them with good things. Add more fruit and veggies. exercise, and don't be too hard on yourself.

It's been 1 week since I posted this, I have since only cut out junk food (chocolate bars & chips) I did slip up and have 2 cookies one day LOL But i have also managed to drop 7 pounds so I am pretty proud of myself. Now i just need to get off my butt and start working out!

wow, wtg, Katrina!

Wow! 7 lbs in one week - you go girl! If I eat hardly anything and run my butt off I can only lose just over a pound a week. You're younger though - it must be nice to still have a metabolism. :dreamy

Well Tiki what do you have to lose like 5 pounds ? LOL I have 50 pounds!! The more weight you have the easier it is to lose it, I am sure I will get to the point where its not coming off, but if it came off at this rate I would be at goal in 2 months... I could only wish LOL

Yay! WTG! I downloaded the loseit app on Tuesday and wow, what a difference it is making in what I eat! I have been logging everything before I eat it now. my goal only allows 1200 calories a day. I am sure I ate at least twice that before. I lost 2 pounds since Tuesday. LOL! No more mocha swirl iced lattes from Dunkin Donuts for me. I also started back up on my Wii Fit. I am determined to lose this weight with you!

That's awesome! Way to go.
I'm back to my pre-pregnacy weight and lost few more pounds.
I need to lose 15 more lbs to reach my ideal weight.

Does anyone know any exercise for abs?

Jenna, go to sparkpeople.com and check out their videos - they have great workout videos there!

Katrina, that's awesome!!! I'm down about 13 lbs since January so mine's much more of a slowly but surely loss but it's exciting none-the-less (I still have 45 to go to my goal).
