So, I got a first gen Apple iPod Nano back in 2005 as a Christmas gift. About three years after that it stopped working.
I found out yesterday that there's a battery manufacturing problem with some of the first gen iPod Nanos back in 2005-2006. Apple is replacing these specific first gen iPod Nanos for FREE!
I went to their website here:
http://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement/
and put in my serial number. It will let you know if you qualify for replacement, and mine did!
So if you bought a first gen iPod Nano from back then... you should check to see if you're eligible for replacement.
