Projects | Pad Patter 8.25

i feel like cleaning is just an ongoing project, even when it's done, there's no point celebrating because it needs doing again in 5 mins when everyone's at home 24/7

Cleaning is hard. I have a cheap app that I use - Motivated Moms. I like it because she gives me like 5-6 things to do (like wipe the baseboard in the bathroom, clean the sink, change out kitchen towels) and then my house stays relatively clean. Plus, every Friday I get "Work on hobby" so that makes me happy!

There are lots of house projects that I was trying to accomplish on my own but luckily, I've gotten some help with those recently. :)

Otherwise, the most pressing project is to figure out how to fence part of my backyard (and pay for it) so that we can get the dog I've been promising the kids since we moved this summer. It would be a large enough dog that I would feel uncomfortable just leaving it to roam the whole yard and/or possibly run out into the street if we weren't keeping watch enough on it but I'm also not sure how to fence part of the yard without it looking weird or awkward.

Have you thought about the electronic fence available to keep pets in the yard if you don't want it looking weird or awkward? I don't have one and personally don't want it for my small dog but my cousin put one in for her small dog and once trained, she stays in the yard even when she doesn't have the collar on. Quite a few of the houses in my neighborhood have these for all size dogs. It does take a lot of work training them but for the most part they do work.

Personally I have a fenced in patio that my dog uses when outside. Other animals (dogs/cats/rabbits etc) can't get in.
