I am planning a Template Builder for the Project Life size cards (3x4 and 4x6). For those who don't know what a Template Builder is, you can view my video here.

I need your input. First of all I want to know if this is something you'd be interested in? Is there a need for this or are you already hooked up to a system of templates?

If you think this would be a good product, what would you want to see in the Template Builder?

- sizes of blocks: 3x4, 4x6... any other sizes? How about 6x12?
- size of template: I was thinking of making a 12x12 version and an 8,5 x 11, but I see that many scrap 8x10 as well... which is best?

- Any other suggestions / requests?

Thank-you so much for your input!

What a great idea! (I watched your video and must say that your English is very good to understand for me as English is not my native language!)
I prefer 12x12 size because my normal layouts are also 12x12 and I often include them in my book.
6x12 blocks sounds great! I need bigger spaces to include a lot of journaling!
I also need space for bigger photos (horizontal), that's what I miss in the normal Page Protectors.
My son plays baseball and I love to include larger team photos and the website articles about the games.
I like that your templates have a white space around so that I don't have to shrink them to fit in a photo book.

First I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE your DYY template builder. It is so easy to use.

I think that your idea is great. Journal Cards as a template would be wonderful. I am not the creative genius that so many of the ladies here are so I love templates. 3x4, 6x4 and 6x12 would be all great.

I think it would be difficult to do Project Life in any size but 12x12 or 6x8 due to the photo and journal card sizes. If you're truly wanting to use Project Life products, you'd use 4x6 and 3x4 slots, and it would be hard to fit those on an 8x10 or 8.5x11 page without some big gaps. (Simple Stories/Sn@p Studio does make 6x8 three ring binders and page protectors or you can get them printed as an album at Viovio and probably other printers.)

Personally, I purchased a set of templates at the beginning of the year and just alter them when I want to switch it up, but I used to design templates so it's second nature for me. I think for the beginning scrapper, the build your own template idea would be a great one.
