Power of Photo Books - on TLP blog

I commented on your blog post but also wanted to say that I loved every bit of it. Now can you make some photobooks for me? ;)

Love your post, Christine! I agree with Renee. You can be the resident photo book maker. I really need to get started on one from my Yellowstone trip!

I think photo books are the perfect solution for vacations and trips! I always end up with too many photos to scrap. And the panoramic photos can be a two-page spread! I usually take notes during the trip, and blog my trip immediately afterwards. So I can just copy the text from my notes and blog posts into the photo books. Seems like a really good solution to me.

I always love your blog posts Christine! I commented on your post as well but I found it incredibly inspiring! Reading about how your mom loved her photo book and showed everyone just pulled at the heartstrings. The only photo book I've done was for my mom and it was years ago but I know she loved it.

Loved your post! I have made several photobooks myself and have always been pleased with the results. Printing an extra copies is great. They just changed their software though so I was bummed to learn many of mine I won't be able to. I did just see they have a new book that opens flat though - ohhhh! Must try that one out! Has anyone tried their new software?

What I really liked seeing was that you just print your favorite layouts, no matter what order they are in. I've been struggling with what to do with mine for awhile now. Always planning to just print a book when I have enough but realized that I jump around so much scrapping that it will never be chronological. Maybe it doesn't matter though!

Is the new software at Shutterfly? I haven't tried it yet. I just recently ordered a book from Blurb and am anxious to receive it!

Most of my pages aren't necessarily documenting an event, so I don't get to hung up on putting them in order. I don't want chronology to stifle my creativity in regards to what I want to scrap about, LOL. I mean, what if I suddenly wanted to do a childhood page with me and my sister? I just don't worry too much about it, LOL.

Your post was amazing Christine! It goes back to the heart of memory keeping and why we all scrap/photograph/document.....you rock my friend!

Great post Christine! I know it isn't the same but it totally inspired to get my behind in gear and get some of my blog books done.

Fabulous!

I just had my first book printed with actual layouts in it. Usually I am a last minute upload a ton of pics and just put them into a plain black album on Shutterfly. It was kinda fun to see some layouts though. :)
