Where are they?!?!?! OMG! Everything was wonderful Friday and warm and then woke up Saturday morning and thought my head was going to explode from the pressure, sneezing, blowing my nose. And then I looked outside and all I saw was clouds of pollen floating through the air! Our cars/trucks looked something like this:

NO, I do not <3 Pollen...grabbed it off the Internet but you get the drift, huh?!?!?! AUGH! Really wishing for some rain this week to wash this stuff off. Everyone is miserable around here.

Oh gosh, I know what you mean!! It's ridiculous, we has snow until last week, and now I'm starting to feel the familiar tingling already. Ugh!!!

i've been dying for almost two weeks now.. checked the pollen forecast today bc i woke up feeling even worse (which seemed impossible yesterday :p )and its at like 11.5
seriously. i am going to die. i've got super insane allergies -- if it's this severe this early into the season well...it's going to be bad yo.

DOWN WITH POLLEN. YOU SUCK.

I had really horrendous seasonal allergies growing up in Illinois. Like having to sleep sitting up, coughing up a lung, and losing my voice horrendous. :sickie DH didn't have a problem at all up there. When we moved down here to Texas we switched. Mine went away, and he was so miserable that he wouldn't get out of bed some days, even with two prescription medications. Then several years ago I heard about some funky wackadoo-sounding new-agey chiropractic allergy treatments on the radio, and they were running a special, so I told him it couldn't hurt to try. They worked unbelievably well. He was basically cured.

I think over time though, either we've changed or the allergens have changed. DH isn't taking anything, but does get some symptoms from time to time. DD and I have been on meds all spring, but she's been itchy and I'm all gunky and sneezing violently today. It's not as bad as I had up in Illinois, but it's enough to make curling up for a nap sound pretty good right now. :p

I hear ya on the suffering! My DS2 was home yesterday and was miserable!!!! I looked outside while he was out with his sons keeping them occupied while I cooked dinner and he was just sitting there in a daze. I thought he was in a trance and he said he thought he fell asleep with his eyes open. DS2 suffers each year with allergies.

It's been similar for us as well. I'm not as bothered by it as hubby though. He's woken up twice during the night in the last week completely stuffed up.

We don't go outside. Okay I kid...a little. My DD2 is too young to test for allergies, but every time we step out the door she has an asthma attack. I try to keep going out hoping something will change, but it doesn't. We keep getting told she will grow out of it...we'll see. My allergies and my husbands have flared up horribly this year. It was suggested we try going off our medicine for a bit and then getting back on it apparently your body can build up an immunity. We also are going to try the honey apporach with me and DD. That is if we can find any local honey, lol!

poor kid! I feel for her.. as that's why mine are so terrible-- the asthma+ regular allergy symptoms is pretty much motivation to stab someones eyes out. is she too young for singulair yet? i take that.. it doesn't work AMAZINGLY for me-- but enough to take the edge off so i can function (Well.. not now, bc i'm an idiot and didn't start it early enough :p but past years it has helped. i get a lot of side effects from it though so despite having year round allergies i refuse to take it that much :p )

It has been horrible here too. I feel like we went right from winter/snow to starting on Claritin. Boo.

ok I feel wheezy just READING this thread! Hope you all feel better soon xx

Yeah, the pollen and allergy season really whomped our family and a lot of people my husband works with over the past couple of weeks. At least mine don't seem to be as bad as they were in New England: oy, that was HORRIBLE, I *never* had clear sinuses EVER as a kid, it was a revelation moving to the semi-desert in LA!

I am fixing to give the honey a try myself. I have found a grower nearby and I just started hearing about this method. I have horrible allergies. Hoping it works. I know others who are doing it and have success with it.

I just noticed that cars around here are looking a little yellow. I didn't get my allergy shots this month and I feel awful. :( Spring is so pretty, but it makes me so sneezy!
