Does anyone still use this stuff? I bought a can of it a while back but never ended up using it. I have lots of wood in my house and wondered if it would do a better job cleaning up the dust than my regular old dry dust cloth....

I do...seems to do a good job for me...although I don't think the dust ever goes away or gets better!

Is that the spray stuff for cleaning wood? It's called Mr Sheen here.

I used to use it, but then didn't for years. I have just started using it again and I really like it. It does make a difference and I use a lavender scented one that really smells nice.

I don't like the wax build-up that pledge leaves, so we usually just use a damp cloth to dust and then from time to time over the winter I rub down the wood furniture with furniture oil (I think it's lemon oil?) to keep it from drying out and cracking.

I have to agree with Peppermint (scary! :cornfused) I'm not a fan of the film pledge leaves. I just use swiffer dusting cloths and don't have a problem!

same here...i try not to use too much chemical stuff in the house....

hmm, I havent\'t noticed a buildup - either it's so dry here it soaks in haha (entirely possible) or, actually- I spray the dust rag not the furniture, maybe that's why.
like peppermint I also use an oil after dusting on the real wood - mine is orange oil.

I use these cloths called "Norwex". They are sold though home parties and require NO detergents. You can get a lesser quality version at Costco, 3M I think? I know it sounds crazy, but I wipe down the furniture with as damp cloth and wipe dry with another cloth. It's amazing and no streaks. I'm telling you I can wash dirty windows with this cloth and dry with the other and its so clean it looks like there is NO window. The best thing, these cloths are washable in the washing machine.

I don't like the buildup from pledge either. I just use damp microfibre cloths to dust the wooden furniture, but I'm missing the housewife gene, so you probably don't want to listen to me;) I think the Norwex ones are microfibre too? I just use the regular ones from the supermarket though.

BTW - I just looked up Norwex, and they are Norwegian - they must be good then. How come I've never heard of them?
