Who uses a planner? Which one do you have? Are there any cute "scrapbook-y" ones out there?

I've been looking around and keep thinking I just want to make my own but if there is one out there with that "feel" already, I figured I'd save some time.

I just have a generic one from walmart....it's not quite as big as a notebook, but not tiny either. Gives me plenty of room to add in details for things. I thought about making one at one point too, but then I knew I'd be a neat freak about it, wanting to keep it "pretty." I just scribble pretty much anything and everything I need to remember in this one lol, and no worries about keeping it super neat!

I found a generic one at Target but it's oh so generic... *sigh
Thanks Jewelle... I am looking at hers now...

Oh! I need suggestions too! I have kind of a planner obsession. I usually have 2 or 3 a year. Yes - my desire to be organized leads to more unorganization because I over organize.

I just have a cheap little calendar that sits on my desk...like one that you would get for a $1 at the checkout! LOL

I use my iPhone calendar for everything and it links up with DH's calendar too.

LOL This is me as well!

I'm currently loving The Totally Together Planner. It's the best one I've found for me so far, but I need something to keep me on track with household stuff or I get overwhelmed and behind. I know that not everyone needs that in a planner.

nope. i have a fridge calendar (usually from the $1 spot at target) that is it. i try to coordinate it w/ my phone calendar; however, that rarely synchs as it really should. if it's not on the fridge, it doesn't happen. i don't have time to tinker and mess w/ the rest.

For the past few years, I've been great with using my phone, but with trying to manage both Kindergarten and High School activities this year, I had to go back to a planner. I grabbed the Martha Stewart/Avery line at Staples. It's pretty and functional, plus, there are lots of useful add-ons.

i use my iphone/ical religiously - and i also have a big white board calendar thing on the wall in the mudroom that i use for easy viewing by DH ... if i were to buy a planner, i'd get one from erin condren. i do still want to use gina's organizer goodies and make a big household binder - hopefully i can do that before 2013 LOL!

For my household chores - I use Motivated Moms! Have used it for about 6 years and LOVE it.

I have bought the motivated moms calendar at least 3 times (i have the current one as well..lol). I really really want it to work for me but it just doesn't. I talk myself into buying it over and over because I love the idea of helping support a fellow homeschool mom, so I don't feel too bad when I can't make it work for me. There are just too many specifics that don't apply to me, and I feel like a failure when I don't get everything done in a day. What I like about the Totally Together planner is that there is a This Week section with chores that you need to do less than daily or weekly but it doesn't give specific days to do them, which works better for me and my obsessive personality...lol.

i've tried so many paper planners. they just don't work for me so well...like sarah said, i'm too obsessive to use them they way they are designed. so far i have found that the google calendar has worked best for me. i set up a separate calendar for each family member and then show them all at the same time for the big picture. i also have a separate calendar set up for dinner and one for chores/errands. that way i can use those 2 calendars overlayed with our family schedule to find when/how i can accomplish errands and meals. it seems to work better for me than anything else i've tried (and i've tried A LOT).

and Martha?

See I knew you guys would hook a girl up! :)

I bought an Erin Condren one. At first I felt it was too cute to "ruin" by writing in. And then I never used it once.

I need meds.

Oh and to organize my crap, I bought one of those giant paper desk calendars and hung that sucker on the wall. Plenty of room for everyone to fill in their plans, and too ginormous for me to not look at 40x a day. lol
