Hi Ladies,
Some of you may already know I'm in a scrapping slump. I was looking at all my Disney photos from my vacation last fall and I'm itching to get them in a regular photo album. Then I decided to journal on some index cards and slip them behind the photos. I finally realized that is crazy! I should just do it PL style like I saw some one do on their blog with their Disney photos. I already have some style a and d protectors. I was thinking of going all style a with many inserts for my vertical photos so I can print all my photos as 4x6s. Are there any single photo vertical 4x6 protectors out there or any two photo vertical 4x6 protectors? I know I could just cut a d protector but it seems like such a waste! I would even consider using a different brand. Any other suggestions for my vertical photos are welcome. I'm thinking of typing my journaling and maybe using old fashioned stickers or some digital Disney supplies I have. I want this to be something easy I can throw together just to get my photos in a book. I'll do layouts of the photos when my mojo comes back. Any ideas for throwing together a Disney book that is fun and easy would be so welcome. I'm thinking of scrapping them chronologically for ease sake. Let me know what you think!
Haven't been to Disney in years. But did just go on a vacation and have only done a few pages. My mojo is on the slow side as well because we have been going going going since school ended. By the time I sit down and put the kids to bed I'm too tired to scrap.
Anyway, I like your idea of a project life format. I would put all the photos in and then go back and making journaling cards. Sounds like a fun project. Now, if only we could afford a trip to Disney! It's crazy as my niece who isn't even 3 yet has gone 2 times already. My kids will be 8 in August and we finally just went on a vacation which cost a fortune which was a cruise to Bermuda.
I think a PL Disney album would be amazing fun to assemble. What a great hybrid project! As far as the 6 x 4 ups, they are tricky to find. Do you sew? If you do, you could definitely buy some plain 12 x 12 and stitch them into 4 ups. If you are looking for pre-made options, C-line has 2 things that you might be able to adapt. Their multiview holder has 2 6 x 4...I think you could use the other 4 x 6 as a journaling spot or for memorabilia.
Something else I use pretty frequently are C-line's flip flaps, which allows you to stick a 6 x 4 (or 4 x 6) on top of a larger protector. You might have too many ups to go that route, but I thought it would mention it. The example photo from their website shows them horizontally, but I use them vertically all the time.
The flip flaps would be good but they are expensive! At $1.00 each that would add up fast! I think it is cheaper to cut up some Becky Higgins D protectors. How would you seal up the open side though? Just scotch tape? I don't want to use staples cause they could rust. I don't think there would be room for the photos if I sewed the open end. I might try the C-line with the 3 slots. They seem like the cheapest option. Someone needs to make a basic tall 6x4 with holes to put in the binder! By the way, How many protectors with photos will fit in a PL or We R Memory Keepers book? Thanks.
