If you are on Pinterest, how often do you go back and swoon over all of the eye candy of your own boards? Do you try for a particular visual look/style for your boards or do you just pin away and use it as a bookmarking system?

Do you post your scrapbook layouts to Pinterest?

Do you ever scroll through and notice how many re-pins you have on any of your items (not necessarily your scrap pages)?

I generally never give it much thought, but I was looking for some art journal inspiration late last night, and I noticed that one item I'd pinned (as a re-pin) has now been re-pinned over 419,000 times from my pin. It is kind of mind boggling when you think about it. Because if you start thinking about the person who originally pinned it and how many different times it was re-pinned from there... it is crazy.

What about you??
 
I don't follow many people. I use it like tearing out pages in a magazine, but they actually are immediately filed..bhahah
I do pinterest my layouts for here.
mainly I use it for home redecorating, remodeling and art journaling inspiration. I don't spend much time on it, it is more of a browse, browse, hmmmm okay gotta go now place
 
I don't use Pinterest near as much as I used to. I the early days, I would spend considerable time each day and curated some really nice boards that I still enjoy browsing (though I don't do it often). These days I use it mostly for recipes, as a bookmarking tool. I do pin some of my pages to group boards for various creative teams, but I don't have a board for all of my pages. The boards I enjoy going back to look at most are my Quotable board, Silly Stuff board, and Color Me Happy board :) Always cheers me up!
 
I love Pinterest and use it and browse it all the time. It has become part of my nightly routine. It is always really exciting to go in and see how many times something you pinned has been repinned! And I love love love the inspiration!
 
It's my ultra mindless down-time activity. Some of my boards are just to find something for future inspiration, others for a project I'm working on. I just love the "secret" boards that I can pin countless things to without having to "bore" those who are following me, especially if it's for a skating costume or something. I really don't care if my pins are ever pinned, and I really don't follow up on how many times.

I have only ever removed a pin once because I didn't like how it was getting repinned. It was a different take on an Advent Wreath, but someone thought it looked like a good Wiccan wreath. I never figured out how someone could interpret something that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ into something Wiccan. So I deleted it so I wouldn't have to see the notifications of it anymore.
 
I long ago turned off re-pin notifications for almosthis everything. Doesn't matter to me. Except for my own gallery board. I use pinterest as my 100% full gallery, because there's no linking or % usage guidelines for layouts. If I'm applying for a CT spot, that's where I'm directing them to see the entirety of my creativity. I have a board of my layouts, and boards for designers I CT for... I pin my layouts from their product pages to directly link to product, and also usually pin their products.

I keep boards for sparking creativity, for bookmarking (recipes, journaling prompts, craft tutorials, etc)... i have gotten MUCH better about wasting hours and hours making boards and doing nothing with them. I tend to go to Pinterest when I'm looking for something, and not just browse mindlessly. I've tried using secret boards to visualize my scrapping stash (which I think would totally work except for the secret part).

I look at my boards pretty much daily, trying to figure out what I am going to try next :) I post all my scrap pages there and like Kristina, I use it as my main gallery for CT calls and such these days. I used to keep up with what things of mine have been repinned, but I haven't for quite some time. I might go look at some things for curiosity sake.
 
I post my layouts and have boards to track my stash. Also boards for recipes, inspiration, travel, etc, what ever interests me. These are bookmarks for me I don't really care who repins or follows...
 
I love Pinterest. I have been on it since almost the very beginning. I have boards for all sorts of things. I have downsized my boards to 87 now though, lol!! My favourite boards are my Crochet boards (yes boards, I have separate boards for different types of project, hats, blankets etc, lol!) and my careful-not-to-drool Cake board. <3
I haven't posted my layouts to Pinterest so far, but I have been thinking about it. It's more about finding time to do it now.
I have a couple of pins that are quite popular, and I thought I was awesome, but 419,000!!! That's incredible!! I was proud of my 430 repins for a soup recipe!
I will be a puddle of sadness if Pinterest ever goes away.

I have a zillion boards on pinterest but almost all are quotes. It's my new go-to when I need a boost, or browsing it for just some relaxation time. I haven't pinned many layouts there. I'm not confident in my style enough to do it. It is mind boggling how much repinning gets done. I like that I can have secret boards because not everyone who happens to find me there would know what I am going through. But I love all the ideas. In fact I was looking up ideas for old suitcases today.
 
Oh man... I knew it was a bad idea to click on this thread and reply... I have just spent maybe an hour, that I should have been doing just about anything else, perusing Pinterest... Woops! Hahaha!!

I used to visit Pinterest everyday, especially when we were building and designing our house. I went back and tweaked several boards so they only had things on them that I knew I really wanted in my house.

I do post layouts and templates for business purposes. But for personal I rarely use it anymore & this has just happened in the last few months. Every once in awhile I will browse recipes and go back and make my menu for the week after looking at my menu boards.
 
I have used Pinterest as a way to keep recipes that I want to try or have tried and wanted to save. This works for me. I will pin, and then try. Keep if I like. I will delete if horrible. Slowly, my tried and kept board is getting bigger. I do forget about Pinterest, so I miss pinning to the tried and kept board too, lol!

As for scrap pages, I pin them all. I also pin any tutorials that I have done for designers. So, they are all on one board. I got freaked out a couple years ago, when I was getting a SLEW of followers to that particular board. It was like hundreds in a few weeks, then thousands. I was so freaked, I was going to delete it. I removed my FB from it, thinking someone hacked it. Apparently, my board was featured on Pinterest when they were sending out some promotional emails and people began to follow. I still have a bunch of followers for my layout/tutorial board, lol!

I browse occasionally, and pin occasionally. I'm not a crazy get lost in there type of person.
 
419,000 times?! That's almost half a MILLION people seeing your Pin and liking it enough to repin it themselves! Yowsers.
I have a Pin that's been repinned over 2,550 times. I saw that same Pin (my Pin of it, that is) on Pinterest's "popular" board, which I thought was funny. Who knew vertical shelves for storing cookie trays would be wildly popular?
I started Pinning DS products I owned after I won Pin 2 Win here at TLP. :) I wanted to keep track of all those goodies! And I recently started Pinning my LOs too.
ETA: as far as a "look" to my Boards... I just have main boards and then I Pin to them. I don't have a style or look. At least, not one I can figure out lol.
 
Holy moly! How did I miss that?! 419,000 WOW! I will have to look at mine. I've searched my name and have seen items pinned from others, like tutorials. It always gives you a little, I musta done good feeling, lol!
 
I totally admit to being a Pinterest addict and it's an every evening experience for me, unless someone screws with my routine! LOL! I have boards for all sorts of topics (i.e. my digital LOs, inspiring digital LOs, recipes, photography tips, photography sessions, words to live by, etc., etc.) Here be me: https://www.pinterest.com/lormw/
 
I have too many boards, too many pins. I still use it if in need inspo for something, or need a good recipe though! The task of cleaning it up seems overwhelming.
