So, have you ever seen something adorable on Pinterest... or a recipe that you just had to try... only to completely FAIL at it :giggle

Look at these cookies. I mean, really... how cute are these!



Well... here's the final result of my attempt :rofl

Not exactly a pinwheel, LOL. And I tried so hard. They look like a rainbow threw up on them. :thumbsdowns

Here's what I'm choosing to think about this little experiment. At least I actually tried something from Pinterest! :fairydance

Most of the time, it just sucks my time and ends up being eye candy for me. Yay for moving beyond the pinning stage to the trying stage. Even if the results were pitiful :whistle

Side note: TLP has an awesome Pinterest Page... check it out and don't be afraid to #fail. You never know what you'll end up with.

i am thinking the same as Nancy ... that they probably taste awesome.

i tend not to try complicated stuff like that with food bc i already know the results will be a mess. i have no patience for "foodie works of art".
 
This made me laugh! Thanks, Jen! I tend to try things that are on the simple side... and if I do try and fail, it never occurs to me to take a picture, lol!

I bet they taste great! Mmmmmm!
 
I can cook but baking, well I can do chocolate chip cookies and cheesecake (not fancy). I too pin lots of pretty desserts knowing that I will never make them :)

I'm with the others, bet they taste good and that's what counts! If you really want to laugh I make cupcakes and attempted to decorate them.........they became 'poopcakes' and here is why;

I'm gonna have to find some pics I saw a few months ago of some epic craft fails, had me in stitches!
 
I made some jello worms! Though they turned out quite well, it was a heck of a lot more work than the pin made it out to be!! Mine were too dark and I never quite got the opacity right. However, my son managed to tricked my dad with them. He told him he found some worms to go fishing and then when my dad said we couldn't go fishing that day, my son said "Oh well, I guess I'll just eat these now...(gulp)". You should have seen the look on my dad's face!

lol about the poopcakes! i'd eat them!

those worms.... heck no. they came out pretty darn awesome LM ... they look real despite being dark and its hurting my belly to think about putting them near my mouth! ACK! (bet the boys loved them though!?)
 
ewwww re: the jello worms, LM. LOL. I think those were a total success! But still... ewwwww.
 
I imagine none of the kids is going to go "But Mom they don't look at all like they did on Pinterest" unless you show them. I still think they look pretty good.
 
I think those worms turned out great as well LM.

yes, my son thought the cupcakes were hilarious and suggested I just spread the icing on in the future. He didn't care what they looked like said they tested good :).

Those fails are great!

Cross your fingers for me ladies, we have our high school reunion this weekend and I have to bake........hopefully I can't screw up Sweet Marie bars and lemon bars (cheating and using lemon pie filling).

I make great soups such as gnocci and potato bacon from scratch :)

In my mind, I have failed at all of it. ugh.

I have already started buying the pieces to make these for Christmas (for kids or girlfriends)
