I'll apologise in advance if you follow me on Pinterest!

I know many people "tag" there digital stash and view items/folders/previews in many different programs

I've never wanted to add another "program" to my list

Well today I had a brainwave........

I logged into the store and have started to go through each designers shop, you know that little handy, "already purchased" comment in green under the products you have already bought (yup it's there for those who didn't know and a great tool it is) ........ well I'm using the "Pinterest" button under the items description to add all my TLP stash previews onto a board in my Pinterest account!!!

Easy viewing of my stash DONE! (well in progress, I'll do a few designers a day over the next week or so xx)

Cool idea!! Great way to see what you have on one board!!

that is a fabulous idea! and i guess u could make it a private/hidden board if u don't want certain people to know how much stuff you need/hoard

I didn't think to set it to private, good job hubby doesn't have pinterest LOL

Lorry - I'm pinning all to one board so I can just scroll through and browse what I have that I'd like to use

You could narrow it down further and have a template board, alpha board, kit board etc

If you shop at more than one store - you could have a board for each store?

I'm happy to have 1 TLP board, - here is mine - Its not finished I'l add to it as and when I get the chance

This is exactly what I do. I started using Pinterest to track my scrapping purchases about a year ago and its a fast simeple way to know what I have, the approximate content of a kit, and who the designer is. They are all linked back to the pad so its good advertising for the designers too.

I find it so much easier and faster than trying to load everything in Lightroom or Picassa or Photoshop Organizer, or whatever.. If I need a certain element - like "sun" I still have to search my Lilypad directory on my computer, and my directories are organized the same as my boards, except more detail, but so far its working for me. What I did do is archive last year into separate directories because it seemed like some of my boards were taking forever to load. I decided more boards to separate new from old was the answer...

Here are my boards - you can see what I did. Lorry, I use different boards for different stuff... But you see clearly as the year progresses Lilypad became my overwhelming favorite.

That is genius! I think I would break Pinterest if I went back and added everything I've ever purchased! :giggle

Ohh that is a neat idea! I am like Karen though.... that could take awhile to tag it all. Then silly me would forget a few weeks later that I did it...lol!

I might break it down further in the future but right now the 1 board works for me xx

That's a neat idea! I usually tag my previews as previews (as well as alpha or template, if applicable), so if need be I can see them all at once and then click to open that folder. I used to have ACDSEE on my PC but since switching to Mac, I don't. I wasn't going to retag all that, so I just do it in finder. But I like the Pinterest idea, too.

OK... I'm really quite organized on my hard drive, but I do have to dig down to actually see previews. I think this is a fabulous idea! I've need to divide mine up though since that's how I scrap...
Love this idea!

Thats a great idea! And you could even make it a private board if you were worried about spamming your followers.
