I'm seriously about to pull my hair out. :hissy First, I got a Mac. I still haven't figured the darn thing out and flip flop between loving it and hating it on a daily basis. If it wasn't so darn big and pretty and clutter free, I probably would have thrown it out by now. I have little patience and I don't read manuals, and don't like things I don't know. Then in a moment of pure genius, I upgraded to CS6 from PSE7. Full blown insanity, I know. I actually downloaded the free trial of PSE10 just so I could edit my pics. The trial has now expired, and again, I'm left with CS6.

What I need to know is this...how do I turn on the project bin at the bottom? Right now, all I can get is a million tabs, which does me no good when scrapping. I need to SEE them!

There is no photo bin in the full PS editions. You'll get used to it? lol

I'm not positive since I'm only a PSE user, but I listened to an episode of the Digi Show the recently specifically about upgrading from PSE to CS... from what it sounded like, there is no such thing as the project bin in CS and that is probably the biggest complaint for those that upgrade. I hope for your sake that I'm wrong though - but maybe checking out that episode would help you? http://thedigishow.com/2012/episode-45-im-gonna-puppet-warp-that-thing/

I'm sure someone here who knows more that I do will chime in soon!

Oh goodness what is a project bin?

haha that's exactly what I was thinking Sara! :giggle

if you go to window>arrange there are a heap of different viewing options. Maybe one of the float ones might work for you as then you could rearrange all the images on your screen so you can see them.

I'm guessing the project bin shows a thumbnail of what is open, is that right??

I dont' even know what the project bin is. What exactly does it do? I'm sure there is something in PS that does what it does, you'd think at least! I've never had a complaint about my PS. I'm curious now on what this is!

I'm back! Did you get bridge with your CS? if so that shows you thumbnails of everything and you can just drag things in

YES!! Kaye! I did get Bridge! Do I open it separately or once I'm in PS?

And yes. The project bin shows a thumbnail of every photo, element, paper, etc. at the bottom of the screen. You just select which one you want and drag it onto the LO, or whatever.

you can open it either way

you can add your scrapping folders to the favourites tab, so it's quick and easy to find each time

I don't know if I got your question quite well, but do you want to be actually be able to see what's inside your folders? If you hover over any element or folder or any file, you just need to push the space bar it will show you what's inside of it. Or like Kaye said, you can use bridge :D I have an iMac and upgraded to CS6 from CS5 so Im very familiar with both things, if you need anything just shoot me a pm or email and I'll help you out!! :heartlub

I made the same change three years ago and almost died when I realized there was no project bin. Now I don't miss it! You will get used to it.

Thank you so much guys! Val, I have an iMac too, so I may be PMing you a lot! lol. Husband is usually my go to techie, but he's as familiar with Mac as I am, and has never used PS, so he's no help at all! I knew you girls would have an answer!
