Photography .....help x?

Okay so I have decided im am really serious about becoming a photographer but i also want to be able to edit my photos really well and airbrush them ..... I know i will require a graphics pad but what Document should use to airbrush my photos ?? something like photoshop ?? would it work with a graphics pad ??xPhoto Printing

A tablet is helpful but certainly not necessary, you can start out with Photoshop Elements if you are just learning but if you have the intention of becoming a professional at some point you will need a full version (I would suggest CS5 but the older versions are excellent as well). I just wanted to chime in here and say that most professional photographers (I am not one of them) spend very little time post processing their photos, you want to get the majority of things-color, white balance, focus, exposure right in your camera before you even open photoshop. I personally love to play around with different effects but when you start out with a properly exposed in focus photo it's much easier to get good results.
