My youngest moved out last week, into a shared student apartment not far away. So far she is absolutely loving it!

She came back for the first time yesterday and coincidentally the latest photobook I had printed (of a trip when she was 7) was sitting on the table waiting to be put away. She grabbed it and poured over it, then asked where all the other photobooks were and chose another to 'read' with me.

She used to love looking at them when she was little, but hasn't bothered for several years, but now she says she wants to look at them every time she visits.

Made my scrapbooking heart happy and proud ;-)

My DD (22) lives on her own but spent the weekend home to watch our dogs while hubby and I were away. She doesn't like staying by herself so she invited a couple of her BFFs to stay with her. She said they had a great time looking through our family scrapbooks! I was so surprised and happy! I'm glad our kids finally come back around. :D

That’s so fun Lynn!

I force my kids to read my yearly recap book as part of our bedtime routine the beginning of each month. Maybe someday they will grab them on their own to read. You give me hope!

@LynnG I hope you took some photos of her enjoying the books. I have a few photos of my own children looking through scrapbooks. It absolutely does make me feel so good that they enjoy something I've spent so much time creating. What a special moment for the two of you. Yay and hooray for scrapbooking!

That is so awesome. It's so great when anyone wants to look through a book of your labor of love. It's hit and miss at my house when a new book comes. Sometimes my hubby will flip through them, most often my kids don't care one bit (two boys) :giggle Maybe someday they will care and want to look back at their memories from when they are younger. Lol. Until then, I'm content to have them for myself. :agree

That's so great Lynn, both the happily sharing accom & the photobook part! (I haven't printed anything except a few photos this year, I should probably get my act together b/c mine mostly look at them when a new book arrives too, maybe I need to leave the older ones lying out more often but the birds would probably get them first & deckle all the page edges

Awww!! That's so sweet. Our children never do fail to surprise us.

Both my kids are getting photobooks for Christmas. Sure hope they like them.

Love it. Right now my younger kids look at my scrapbooks almost every day. My older kids usually only look at them during special days like birthdays or holidays.
