Phone | Pad Patter 2.16

I don't really love talking on the phone and mostly nobody else I know does either. They most just text me these days. The only person I talk to on the phone is my hubby, so if I see it's him, I answer right away. We are the rare household that still does have a landline... well kind of. It's VOIP phone and we only pay about 15 a year for it and that's just so we can have 911 service. Our kids are home alone sometimes and they don't have cell phones, so we needed a phone there. Although they never use it to call us. They always Facetime us. Lol.

Landline (VoIP) gets ignored unless it is my parents or the kids' schools.
Cell - if it is a number I don't recognize, it goes to voicemail.

I hated text when I first got a phone that could do it. I'm still not a big fan, but a lot of people won't/don't answer telephone calls, so I'm forced to text.

My daughter butt-dialed me yesterday morning. Since she only has 4 numbers in her phone, I think it's going to happen frequently. She has one of my old dumb phones - it has call and text capability. I butt-dialed people all the time with that silly thing.

We have a landline... it was cheaper to have one assigned for our plan... but we don't have a phone hooked up. lol!

I'd rather text. I will call if it's more than a few texts or intricate. I don't answer the phone unless I know the number. If I'm calling someone I don't know, and they don't answer, they are pry like me, so I will send a follow up text, lol!

Many times, I'll look up the number, and if it's super questionable, I block it. If they know me, then they should know others that would be able to contact me, in the event it's an emergency.

I will answer if it's hubby or daughter, almost 100% of the time. Mom, sister, good friends, etc., I try to get to the phone if I can, but if I'm busy and know I don't have time to chat, I'll just let it go to voice mail. I really prefer email, text or FB messenger.

We have a landline pretty much just for emergency purposes but we never answer it or use it.

I would say I am a phone person and enjoy talking to my friends/family on the phone, so generally speaking, I will answer my cell phone as long as I'm not tied up with work or somewhere that it feels rude to be yakking on the phone.

thing with landlines here is you need to get one in order to have internet service with the main companies....I know now lots of mobile/cel companies are doing deals without landlines...but it gets barely used here...they take 12 pounds a month for it.... but my net connection is quiet good, and I havent had a cell phone for almost 3 years now...
