i've been volunteering at the kitty shelter for 2.5 months now.. and discovered today the director (who i work with every wednesday) has been making up a name for me in her head :p she's so shy and timid that she never asked me my proper name. I sign in on the ledger every time i'm there too.. Silly goober lady!

i'm rather shy and antisocial myself (seriously, i spend my entire time there talking to the kitties instead of the people :p ) but if this was MY place of business... lol.. i'd def know everyone who was working for me :giggle
 
Wait... Let me guess, I think her name for you in her head is "Crazy Cat Lady!" Heeee! Heeee! (But, that's okay, I'm one of them too!:giggle)

I wouldn't remember it if you told me. I have a girl in my running clinic that I just now figured out what her name is. I've been training her for like 12 weeks. LOL
 
Also, 10 weeks in she goes "I just realized I never paid you".

I'm also a stellar bookkeeper.
 
hahaha, I am also horrible with names, too. Chris is good at remembering them thank goodness, and he will whisper them to me when someone is approaching us at church or wherever.
 
I'm completely opposite...I remember names of people I went to Kindergarten with when I see them in the mall. The shy side of me though never says hi because I know they probably don't remember my name.
 
so. . . is this lady someone who remembers all of the names of the kitties, but not the people? silly. . . silly!

i had something like this happen to me the other day. there is this couple who i talk to at the gymnastics center all the time. ALL. THE. TIME. and when we first met, we exchanged names and so forth. well, her name is Eleka, which rhymes with Rebecca. Her name. My name. Rhym. We had a decent sized discussion on how this would help us each remember the other's name, etc. WELLLLL... Monday, I was sitting there talking to them, and all of a sudden, it seems they've forgotten my actual name, and they've started calling me Rachel. Don't get me wrong, Rachel is a fabulous name. It's just not MY name. Awkward? Idunno. :shrug maybe knowing someone's name is overrated. *lol*
