Paperwork follow UP?? | Pad Patter 11.8

Hail and wind damage - sigh -- so just about every house in our neighborhood got a new roof this summer due to damage, but our insurance inspector said "no". So we have the old roof. Roofer dude suggested we try again next year and that we change insurance companies, which reeks of insurance fraud to me...

I did have a huge mess over car insurance. Our agent told me our second son would be added to the policy, but after several months we never got a bill (and 18 year old guys are not free). Called again, got reassured again it would happen. Months later and still no bill, I called the insurance company directly. They didn't have him insured and had no record of a request from the agent. When I explained what was going on they worked with me, but typically they won't talk directly to their customers. So glad he drove okay those 10 months he wasn't insured as a licensed driver. Needless to say, we switched agents.

I have paper but not files. I ask for an email receipt or copy wherever I can. Warranties in one box with receipt attached. Receipts I may need in the future in another box until they are useless, then purged.
If I have an email copy - its forever in some electronic file I assume I can access until the end of the world or the internet, whichever comes first.

Oh you made me laugh this morning!
