Pad Patter: 9/24 - Craziest thing you've done?

Have you done some crazy stuff? How about something really dumb?

I'm about to do both this weekend when I run the Akron marathon SERIOUSLY under-trained.

I'm not so excited about this. :dizzy
 
From someone with my non-athletic background (btw you continue to amaze me Angie, just WOW...) volunteering to do two 60 mile breast cancer walks and the training that went with them my family and friends considered a little crazy. But I'm so glad I did them!
 
When I was in High School I puked on my school principal after drinking to much Blackberry Brandy prior to a school dance... That's pretty dumb hey? :giggle
 
Hmmmmm, drove from IL to DC to spend a week with a guy I met on spring break...how stupid was that!?!?!?!? It turns out he was a pretty good guy...thankfully!!! We are still friends after 15 years!

Can you see a pattern here? All crazy things have happened in DC....

When I was in my mid twenties I took a 3 day bus ride from Arkansas to British Columbia to meet some guy I met on the internet. I never thought it was crazy, but everyone else I knew did. We've been married for 12 years.

As far as the dumbest thing I've ever done I don't know, I've done lots of dumb things, but nothing that stands out as the dumbest.

DC is a fun place Kim, you kind of throw caution to the wind there....
 
Um... I'm sure I've done a lot of stupid things, especially in college. The stupidest thing that comes to mind is when my BFF and I got drunk at a bar one night and then decided to go for a walk around town to sober up before going to bed. Then... the freight train was going through town and we had to wait for it to finish our walk to the beach. I got the brilliant idea that I should touch the train. I did too! Thank God it wasn't going very fast and I did stumble and fall towards it. Totally stupid!

I backpacked in Europe for 3 weeks by myself.
I met a guy from the internet in Portland OR (he's now my hubby of 8 years, so he's not a serial killer thankfully)
drank too much and put myself in compromising positions a LOT of times.
I was too chicken to bungee jump once, but I did this ultimate swing thing instead....almost peed my pants!
 
Angie, I totally don't want to get kicked out of the Pad so, I am not telling this one. LOL!
 
Oh goodness. I really haven't done that many crazy things. The craziest was prolly driving 4 hours to Columbus, OH to meet a guy from the Intrawebs who was 6'7" and 350 lbs. Yup, could have totally used me for bacon if he hadn't taken a shine to me. That was just a really crazy weekend all around -- his dad had a heart attack the night I got there so I met his family 12ish hours after I met him and then spent the night Saturday with him at his family's house (meeting his BFF, too). Once I got home, he refused all contact with me for 6 weeks and then told me that he was 'too attracted' to me. WT... ?!

So yeah, I just reread that. And it makes me sound insane. Guess I was at 26. :giggle
