I had the most awesome surprise yesterday. My mom sent a text. Telling me a friend from my childhood found her on facebook (I don't have my real name on FB due to adoption and all).
We are now FB friends...and chatted for so long! She lives above me in Colorado, and I got to share a page I made with her of us, in 1975!!

Have you meet people in a good way from long ago? I would love to hear the fun story!

That's lovely to hear Anne Facebook has been a blessing to me, getting me back in touch with old friends. But nothing so heartwarming as your story, that's for sure!

What a great story!!!

My experience with facebook regarding to old friends: it's fun to 'see' them again, you have contact with them in the beginning: a bit storytelling about what went on in our lives. And afterwards, time goes by and you see pictures, like them and comment. But it never really evolves to a real meeting again and restarting the friendship.

Don't know if that's typical, but it's what has happened for me though.

oh Golly, I moved every two years, and this gal, (her dad) got stationed with my dad two times in a row. This is really amazing, so I never really had friends longer than 2 years, with people coming and going and we had almost 5 years of birthdays, summers and sleepovers together! We did keep in contact thru high school, then life exploded.
I want to go up and visit her and laugh!

Oh, it sounds like you had a really special bond with her! I can imagine you must be soooo excited about re-discovering her.
You should go and visit each other, definitely!
