Are you? What kinds of things do you forget?

Me? All of them. I could throw my own surprise party. No lie.

I have clothes in my closet I'd swear I've never seen before. I miss appointments constantly. I can never remember where I put anything. I even forgot 2 of my kids in their rooms during the last tornado warning.

It's amazing we've all made it this far.

I am horrible with remembering things! It's actually pretty damn annoying for both me and my husband.

I used to be able to remember things without the aid of a calendar, now if it's not in my phone then I will miss it, lol.

I'm paranoid about forgetting things, so I write everything down. If I don't, it will probably be forgotten. My memory for everyday events and kid-related milestones is the worst, which is why I scrap.

I have a pretty good memory though it's definitely been affected by baby brain in the last 5 years. I don't usually forget appointments, names, conversations, etc. but I am notorious for forgetting 'that one thing' I went to the store to buy.

I never used to forget anything. Now if I don't write it down, it's as if it never was planned, lol. I'm using my phone to remind me to do even simple things that I want to get done. :)

Same here! Used to remember every stinkin' thing! Nowadays.....my mind is mush! Or as I refer to CRS 'Can't Remember Squat!' (Okay....that last word was only to keep it clean but you get the idea!) :)

I'm so forgetful I forgot to reply to this thread!

:)

I seriously forget everything, all the time. It is getting really bad. I have gone back to using a paper calendar to try and get things refocused and hopefully become less scatterbrained!

I pretty good with remembering. BUT... I forget random BIG things. Boys well visits, Calling my grandma on her birthday, or my parent's 40th anniversary..... big stuff like that. I got the work stuff good at work, home/school stuff good... but the bigger things pop up, and I'm scrambling!

Oh, if FB didn't tell me whose birthday it is, that I would forget too!

:whistle I forgot a lot things like where I put my phone, my keys, ... I never forget the children, but thinhs like groceries I need to do..
have lists but.... guess what???
I forget where I put them!!! Haha...

Not good that my hubby is like that too, lol... :whistle

Ahahaha, we have CRAFT moments over here... Can't Remember A Flipping Thing ;)

pretty much everything, lol. i used to keep everything well in my head, but like the rest of you, the older i get, the more i forget. i just started going back to a paper planner to keep track of everything - writing it down helps with the remembering of it in the first place and it's easy to make lists, etc. and check them off.

my biggest issue is that i will sit down to check stuff on the computer for 10 minutes or so after i get everyone out of the house, and then all of a sudden it's three hours later. =( keeping the planner open right in front of me has really helped me actually SEE what I should be doing and I've actually been much better about getting up and doing them. I even wrote down "Vacuum" today just so that I'd actually remember to do it. You'd think that walking over crumbs would help me remember, but apparently not, lol.

My house is riddled with lists. Half the time I forget to look at them until they are non-applicable, I have to kick myself, and start a new list, LOL.

My kids like to play the "remember when" game with me. And they look at me like I'm from outer space when I absolutely have no memory of the event/movie/anecdote in question. It's annoying for me b/c I really sort of do worry about it.

My family tends to get dementia/alzheimer's relatively early and I'm afraid it's in my genes. I want to hold that off for as long as possible, not that I have much control over it. I've just seen it's devastation too often. *EEK. Sorry to put a downer spin on this thread*

On a brighter note... I did remember to back up my files from my hard drive before my computer freaked out on me this week. Yay, me :giggle
